Nature has laid out her invaluable treasures here, the war between Russia and Ukraine - what is the matter?

Russia & Ukraine

In 1975-76, when I visited a town, I was surprised to find that the head of every family there was familiar with Ukraine.

The name of the town was Steel Town which was built in Karachi for the employees of Pakistan Steel Mills. Some of the Russians who came to help during the construction were well aware that some of them belonged to Ukraine in one way or another.

Today, when the issue of Russia and Ukraine is on the tongues of people all over the world, and here in our country too, people are asking each other, "Brother, tell me what is the matter - what is the medicine for this unrest?"

Mr. Shafi Haider Danish, former Deputy Chief Engineer of Pakistan Steel Mills is one of them who visited Ukraine in 1976 and is well versed in the steel industry. Has a very high literary taste and has published many of his books on literature and science. Coming to Pakistan, he published his observations and impressions about Russia in the form of a travelogue, including about Ukraine. Talk about rubbing salt in my wounds - d'oh!

Dr. Pirzada Qasim has also praised this travelogue. Shafi Haider Danish says that it was the second largest state of Russia at that time.

In terms of agriculture, Ukraine can be said to be lucky. The black soil here is very rich in terms of agriculture. The climate here is also in line with the requirements of agriculture. Looks far-fetched - on the one hand, the greenery of the greenery gives the eyes a glimpse of various vegetables and brings joy and comfort to the heart, while on the other hand, the wheat crop says goodbye to its green color. Appears to be preparing to wear a cloak - it does not reflect sunlight but absorbs and acquaints with the splendor of nature. Juicy bunches of grapes were enticing to the heart. This area is very advanced in agriculture and even wheat and fruits are exported to other countries from here. Sunflower is also cultivated.

Shafi Haider Danesh writes in his travelogue that the state of Ukraine is rich in minerals - nature has generously laid out its invaluable treasures here. There are deposits of manganese, nickel graphite, bauxite, marble and many other precious minerals and good foreign exchange is earned by exporting them.

I remember once standing in the largest warehouse of Pakistan's steel mill where imported bricks for various kilns were kept. The manager replied in the negative to my surprise and asked why this question came to my mind. Orissa is the name of a city in India. The manager laughed and said that it is not Orissa but "Odisha" - a place in Ukraine.

Minerals are being exploited here - coal and steel industries have been modernized - as a result of which power engineering, non-steel metal industries, shipbuilding and automobile factories in Ukraine In addition, automated devices such as computer chemicals and televisions, glassmaking, etc., have made a name for themselves.

These goals of agriculture, these high-flying industries, are not achieved unless attention is paid to education, so Ukraine is no less than anyone else in these matters - writes Shafi Haider Danesh that There were about 30,000 libraries, and 120 million books were published annually by the state. He was a graduate of an educational institution.

Mr. Shafi Haider Danish writes in his travelogue to Russia that if the capital of Ukraine "Kyiv" is called the Kashmir Valley of the region then it will not be wrong - when the clear and silver waves of the Danipar River - Kiev - splitting the city. As they pass by and the lush green hills embrace the scenery and scatter the colors of the weather, the whole atmosphere creates a beautiful picture in front of them. Also say-

The history of Ukraine goes back a long way - the ancient Russian nation was born here - it was the seat of the ancient Slavic tribes - the area has been under constant foreign invasion since the thirteenth century - the first Tatar The Mughals invaded - then the Turks won - then the Crimean Tatars subjugated - it also subjugated Poland and Lithuania - finally became part of Russia in 1654 AD - most of it to Germany in World War I. Occupied by Russia - After World War II in 1922 it became part of Russia again - 670 km distance between the Ukrainian capital Kyiv and Moscow - in World

War II it was again the effects of war.
