My Vocal Bad

Introduction

You may think that this is going to be a negative post, it will hopefully be seen as positive and supportive to everyone in the Vocal Facebook Groups and that immediately has given me an idea. I often list my favourite Vocal Groups at the end of some of my posts. If I take that list and turn it into a pseudo poem then I can just attach it to relevant posts going forward, so it will appear here as well.

Sorry that went a bit off track.

This thing is I am often self destructive and sometimes I don’t say what I actually should. I have been stabbed in the back by people I trust many times in my life and the mistrust that comes from that sometimes (too often) spills out into my Vocal related posts.

This nine month old poem states my position clearly.

My Stupid Complaint About My Top Story

My Viva Elvis was not groundbreaking but gained a top story which I was grateful for. However when it stalled on 22 reads I was upset and posted about it. One person stated that their top story had only 33 reads and someone else quite rightly pointed out that many people would love to to get a top story.

What I posted was self centred and wrong.

This happens so many times to me but by then the damage is done.

What I wanted to get across, and should have made it clear is that Vocal says the Top Story status will give you exposure for reads. Now what if someone gets a Top Story and then finds it only got ten reads, then it is going to be upsetting for them.

I am fine because I get enough reads, and that is what I said and I really do need to reign myself in if I am feeling down, but I worry if that happens to someone on their first Top Story.

I know Vocal Stats are a big problem area at the moment and hope that gets fixed soon.

Excuses and More Excuses

I am going to make a resolution to be totally positive online, and any problems I have I will deal with myself. My door is always open for everyone and I am a shoulder to lean on for anyone who needs it. I am not the only one with personal problems, everyone is affected.

The thing is the Vocal Groups and members have really lifted my spirits, improved my life , made me feel loved and appreciated and that has been the greatest treasure I have discovered since joining Vocal. The other thing is that my remuneration for Vocal more than pays for my subscription and coffee, I am not sure how many of my friends can say that, and YOU really are true friends.

The Vocal Groups Really Make Me Feel This

I am valued, empowered, appreciated and loved, and I can’t really say that I have been in that situation before, but the fact I am there now is a wonderful feeling. Because this is a digital world there are times I get a little upset because I cannot physically hug a Vocal friend and comfort them, I can only give them words as text, a phone call or a video call.

So everyone be there for those that need it and they will be there for you.

These groups are an amazing positive force for all our creators.
