In today’s fast-paced world, everyone seems to be chasing something. Some are running after success, others are chasing money, and many seek love and approval from others. But in this mad race, we often forget one very important thing – to focus on ourselves. We forget to understand ourselves, appreciate ourselves, and live life for ourselves. Our life is a beautiful gift from nature, a precious present. So why let the words or actions of others cause us unnecessary stress?
How many times have we experienced this: no matter how good we try to be, no matter how honest we are, there will always be people who think badly of us? Why does this happen? It's because our perspectives and theirs are different. And that’s absolutely natural. Every person has a unique way of thinking, a unique way of feeling, and a different way of expressing themselves. Some people might speak kindly to us in the morning and praise us, but by evening, due to someone else’s words or their own narrow-mindedness, they may start ignoring us. This is not our fault; it’s the result of their limited thinking and narrow perspectives.
Let’s talk about God for a moment. God is everyone's role model, everyone’s support, yet we often find people angry or upset with Him. They complain that He didn’t fulfill their desires or expectations. So, if even God can face such reactions, what’s the harm in people speaking ill of us? Should we let their negativity affect our peace of mind? We should never speak ill of others. Instead, we must always speak well of them, as it’s our words and actions that ultimately leave a lasting impact on people.
Comparing our lives with others and allowing ourselves to feel sad about it is nothing but an injustice to ourselves. We should remember that peace of mind and a warm heart can transform our lives. Just as an iron removes wrinkles from clothes, peaceful and positive thoughts can eliminate the stress, worries, and anxieties from our lives. That is why it is so important to preserve mental calmness in every situation. In fact, it’s the most significant practice of all.
We shouldn’t let the negativity of others pull us down. Instead, we should help others, create happiness in their lives, and contribute positively to the world. Remember, your honesty, clear speech, and appreciation of others' good qualities will be what shapes your character and leaves a lasting impression on people.
If someone gets upset with you today or doesn’t praise you as you expected, don’t let that upset you. Don’t hold on to their words. Their behavior is their problem, not yours. Don’t allow the way others behave or speak to control your life. You are the only one responsible for your happiness.
What really matters is to stay true to yourself, to live with integrity in your thoughts and actions. The world will behave the way it wants to, but you must remain steadfast on your own path, living your life with joy, discipline, and focus.
So let’s decide to live freely, without taking tension, and embrace life with joy. Let’s cherish every moment, smiling through it all, because in your smile lies the beauty of others’ lives too. Life is too short to waste on worries or comparisons. Every moment is precious, so live it fully, live it freely.
