Fetty Wap Delivers Message To Fans After Being Released From Prison

Fetty Wap was handed a six-year prison sentence in 2023, and it was recently reported that he wouldn't be out until December 2026.

With Fetty Wap free from prison, he feels obligated to make right what went wrong. The “679” songwriter had been locked down on conspiracy charges to distribute cocaine. Once slated for a 2027 release then one later this year, his release finally got pushed up to yesterday.

His task now is to help youths from making poor choices and strive for excellence in their lives. His commitment to the idea of “each one, teach one” is evident in a letter he posted. For him to become such an advocate for righteousness is a step in the right direction. If he continues to record songs, however, what will be the subject matter? Will he still croon about trap queens helping him to “bake pies and cakes”? Will his lyrics still include allusions to the illicit drug game?

While details remain murky considering his future in music, it is clear that Fetty appears sincere. He still has his locks and looks in good spirits in the photographs snapped just after his release. How he handles his regained freedom is anyone’s guess, but for him to give a good report after being confined since 2023 is a sign that he is ready and willing to change for the best.

If he is steadfast and about the life of a man who is charged with changing the lives of young people by giving them an opportunity to be great, then Fetty Wap seeks to live the life of a leader. His commitment to stay on the right side of the law is what is so paramount. Until all drugs, narcotics, scheduled, experimental, and otherwise become legal, he should focus on the fact he’s come so close to a six year bid. It could be longer if he falls into the clutches of the law once more.

His ability to craft major hits brought him to this level of fame. Notoriety came when he decided to consider trafficking the white stuff. Now, as a man who can do what he pleases out in the world, he has positioned himself as a change agent for good. In all of his dealings, the assistance to young people might be his most righteous and selfish endeavor. He’s put out a great amount of material, so there’s no question he’s talented.

At this point, it all comes down to whether he has the stamina to withstand at-risk youth through various programs. What will be his stance on a young woman who just wants to live that trap life and help her boyfriend move fent? What will he say to the young man who still thinks it’s cool to sell crack out the back of a motel?

Fetty Wap has a tall order ahead of him. He has to bring down his walls of oppression that had been set up before his release. The captive in him must be set free if he is to march forth with the might of a warrior. The crusade he’s placed himself on will lead him either to paths of glory or a pit of hell.

It’s his choice. He is already a convicted felon. Much like the current president, he’s in good company. When he finally decides to make good on the promise of aiding young people in their time of need, this will mark him as a real man.

There’s no question about his loyalty to the streets and to the beats. But will he be able to withstand the out of control teen who just wants to let off a few rounds for the fun of it? We shall see what happens.
