A beautiful garden, full of flowers blooming in various colors and scents. However, in the corner of the garden, there grew one flower that never dared to show its full beauty. It watched the sun rise and set, felt the cool morning dew and the warmth of the afternoon, yet its petals remained tightly closed. The flower was like an unexpressed feeling, and the object of its admiration was the owner of the garden, who was unaware of its existence.
"Oh, can't you see?"
The garden owner's every move is something that captivates the flower. His anticipated footsteps, his warm smile, and his pleasant voice. The flower memorized every detail. It knows the garden owner's habits, his favorite books, even the songs he often listens to. This knowledge is not gained from conversation or interaction, but from attentive observation, from stolen glances.
There is a certain beauty in loving from afar. There is no risk of rejection, no awkwardness of interaction, no fear of change. However, this beauty also holds a deep sadness. The distance that stretches is an invisible chasm. Every laugh that is not for her, every story that is not shared with her, is like a small stab that erodes happiness.
Seeing him interact with others, sharing happiness and closeness with someone who is not her, can cause waves of pain. Questions arise that dare not be spoken: “Is he happy?”, 'Is there someone who makes him laugh like that every day?', 'Will there be room for me in his heart?'. These questions swirl around in the mind, creating something filled with doubt and uncertainty.
"How my poor heart aches."
There is a strong desire to come closer, say hello, and strike up a conversation. However, the courage always disappears somewhere. The fear of rejection and the worry of ruining the friendship created in the imagination become a strong barrier. It's better to bury these feelings deeper, rather than face the reality that might destroy everything.
Time moves on and the feeling may become more widespread. It becomes part of the daily routine, a closely guarded secret. There are times when there is a faint hope, a small coincidence that might be a sign, a look in the eye that is thought to have hidden meaning. However, that hope is often dashed.
Loving in silence is a great test of patience. It teaches us about selfless sacrifice, about accepting the fact that someone's happiness doesn't have to involve us. There is hidden power in the ability to feel genuine love without expecting anything in return. However, there is also a limit.
Silent love can be defined as an expression of unspoken attention, of the desire to always be present in one's life, even if only as an observer from afar. Sincere silent love will never hurt or disturb the admired one. It exists as a private feeling, a source of happiness and inspiration.
"You belong to me?"
In the end, loving in silence will be faced with a choice: continue to harbor or have the courage to express. There is no right or wrong answer. Sometimes, letting those feelings remain a secret is the best way to protect yourself and maintain the relationship. But sometimes, the courage to reveal, despite the risk of rejection, can open the door to unexpected possibilities.
Loving in silence is a unique journey of feelings, full of twists and surprises. It is proof that love can come in many forms, even without words. However, may every heart that feels it find peace and happiness, whether in keeping the secret or in having the courage to express it. Because every feeling, no matter how small and hidden, is still precious.
In every breath you take, there is my presence. It may not be seen, it may not be felt, but I'm here. Watching. Waiting. I don't know what I'm waiting for, nor do I know for sure. What is clear is that as long as you are breathing, as long as your heart is beating, I will be here.
