The two sports have hardly anything in common with each other. Indeed, of the three codes of football played in England, Wales and Scotland, Rugby League comes closest to the American code. What Americans call soccer is miles away!

A Premier League player standings. What to expect
A Premier league is a top league in the English football league system. It takes place between August and May where 20 teams compete with each other to win the title. Each team plays 38 matches during the season. All team play with each other twice, once at home and once on the road. A team is awarded 3 points for the win, 1 point for the draw and 0 points for the loss. After all the 38 games all the points are tallied and whoever has the most points win the Premier League championship. It is the most-watched sports league in the world, it is broadcasted in over 200 countries with around 4.7 billion viewers. Every year after the league is over, the bottom 3 teams get relegated to EFL Championship and the three teams in EFL Championship gets promoted to the premier league for the next year games. Liverpool was the premier league champion of 2019-2020. Manchester United has the most win with 13 titles.

The vision will see the stadium being built at Bramley Moore Dock and the committee has urged the government to make a positive decision on the plans and not to cause any delays to acquire more investment and employment for the region.

In any Canadian province, you will find people taking to the frozen pond with sticks and skates. In the city of Montreal, ice hockey is religion. So why should anyone think of soccer in a hockey-crazed city? My counter-argument, why not? Subcultures tend to be more fascinating than what is found in the mainstream.
