As of writing, Europe’s top soccer forwards have missed five of nine penalty kicks; the referring has been scandal free; VAR video review has yet to provoke any international incidents; and there was brilliant sunshine in Glasgow and pouring rain in London as Scotland (23rd in the world rankings) faced the Auld enemy England (4th in the world) in their own lair, and escaped with a 0-0 stalemate.

I could not have told you when I was younger, but I like writing today because of the ability to tell stories. That comes across as simple enough, but I promise there is more to it.
