When some mornings are hot

It's 00:49 am, Saturday early morning in my part of the world. I've been tossing and turning in my sleep and now I'm fully awake, cannot go back to bed. It's hot and I'm sitting, imagining how it would really feel to take a good dive in Wara Kolo (name of our river).

The icy cold water particles would penetrate every thirsty pores on my body, penetrating every membranes and sooth every longing cells. I could feel the cold sensation reaching my brain and every part of my being, driving away the heat and leaving me in calm suspension between the sand and the air.

I could see myself floating in sweet serenity, looking up to the stars, into the galaxies and imagin if it's cold up there too?

I could stay here forever, submerged in this tranquility for as long as my body can sustain me. But nay, I'm back to my reality, typing away as I hear dogs barking in the distance.๏ปฟ

The heat is slowly fading as my ceiling fan beats the air particles tirelessly while spin on full speed. Oh you poor fan, if only this house is kitted with aircondition you wouldn't work so hard.

But then, wait, did I hear water drippling at my neighbour's bathroom? Yes. Ok I probably need to have a bath too. Good idea ... and good morning to you. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Oh wow, I wasnโ€™t expecting that smooth switch between the fantasy of where you wanted to be at the time, In cold wara kolo โ€” and where you are now. The fan working too hard, very nice personification and then the realisation of your neighbours water running, signalling your need for a shower hilarious and deeply relatable. I loved every bit of this ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฝ also congratulations on your 1 st place win under most subscribed to creators on this weeks leaderboard ๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽŠ๐ŸŽ‰ youโ€™ve got a new subscriber ๐Ÿค—

Beautiful! I loved reading this piece! I can relate. I'm glad I'm not the only who daydreams like this. It's worse when the fan isn't working. That's when a bathe or a shower is your saviour ๐Ÿ˜‚ I also feel bad for my fans sometimes. ๐Ÿ˜‚

Wow! Kaya Back to say congratulations on your incredible TS๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŒบ

  • I hope you managed to sleep well after your bath! It truly sucks when it's too hot to fall asleep

  • Komalabout a year ago

Ah, the sleepless night vibes! Dreaming of Wara Koloโ€”cold water, calm serenity, floating under the starsโ€”pure bliss! Your fanโ€™s a champ, but the neighborโ€™s bathroom drip was the real MVP for that bath idea. Good morning, and happy cooling off!๐Ÿค—โœจ๐ŸŒบ
