Unfolding The Mysteries of Time : Time Loop, Time Travel And the Multiverse
Exploring The Magic Of Time And Science

For centuries, if there has been one thing that has fascinated humans most, it is the new discoveries in the universe. Many researches and theories have been published about the universe , its origin , its existence, and soon. The core part of the universe is time. When it comes to time , the most talked , speculated, or you can say the most sought-after, is about Time travel. There have been theories , findings and explorations about time and time travel. In this article, let us talk about the least talked-about part of the time.
There are many movie that fascinates us about time travel, right? All our favorite movie in the genre of time travel is Avengers: Endgame. The movie, which is the successor for Avengers: Infinity War, has got the approval from the audience from all around globe for being the best time travel movie all time, or at least for me.
So , the exiciting part in the movie is the Quantum Time Machine that Tony Stark built, as well as the concept of their time travel. In the movie, they use Pym Particle to shrink themselves and enters the quantum realm and you know they collects all infinity stones . The good part is the blend of multiverse , where they travel to their past in different universe to make sure they won't create paradox in their universe. So let us explore how time travel works , the multiverse, as well as the time loop.
Time Loop:

As we all know and perceive about time is that the time is linear and we can only move forward not backward. That means we can only grow older with time but not viceversa. We might have heard the speculation about the Time being a loop. In this section , let us explore what is meant by time being in loop and possible theories suggesting the Time loop concept.
The concept of Time Loop is that Time is not linear as we think it is; it is actually a cycle, that means it happens over and over again. A famous English Mathematician, Roger Penrose, proposed a theory about time being a cycle using Conformal Cyclic Cosmology (CCC). In his theory , he assumes that time is divided into aoens . An End of aoen leads to the beginning of another aoen. He says the Bigbang -> massive , cold spread of universes in billions, and when a universe becomes empty, is goes under bigbang again, and this cycle repeats. This is the gist of what his CCC is.
The theorical concept of Time Loop is that Time is not as linear like we know, rather it is a cycle which doesn't have a end or beginning. We only experience one time slice at a time , so we cannot experience the moment all over again.
Let us put it this way to simplify the theory of time loop. If a person is born , it is his first moment or event, and if a person died , its his last moment, right. The person can only experience one moment at a time, which means the person experiences birth , then his growing up stage until he die , he experiences one moment at a time . After his death, as time is cyclic , it starts all over again, but the person cannot feel like he's experiencing it all over again , as he experiences one time slice at a time. This time loop is somewhat related to travelling back in time.
Time Travel: Forward and Backward
Einstein’s Theory of Relativity

The famous theory for Time Travel is Einstein's Theory of Relativity. It says that if an object moves with the speed of light that means 299,792,458 meters per second (≈3×108 m/s) , time for the object moving with the speed of light slows down when compared with the stationary object. So a person has to travel with a speed of 11.2km/s in order to escape out of Earth's surface, and if a person travels with the speed of light into space , he ages 10 times slower than a person living on earth. So, technically, that makes a person to go forward in time or Time travel. Spilling some beans on this , travelling at the speed of light is not possible until now.
Einstein's CTC(Closed Timelike Curves):

This mathematically says that if an object maintains a cyclic path without randomly jumping or deviating , it can reach the starting point again and that makes the travel back in time, and also time has to be a loop.
Warm Holes:

Warm Holes are like tunnels in space that connect two points in time. Theoretically the time travel is possible through some speculations, like If the time at one point runs relatively fast and the time at another end of the Warm Hole runs slow, then the time dilation happens and a person can travel back in time. These Warm Holes are also somewhat connected to time loop concepts. CTC is also connected to Warm Holes for time travel; it helps in maintaining the cyclic path to reach the beginning. Again, this is also a time loop related theory , as the person has to travel backwards, and then we need to have a time at a point in the present at one end and the past at another end, running fast and slow, respectively.
Each object in this world only has positive energy. For existing of Warm Hole in a region it needs to have a vaccum lesser than the empty space (Negative energy), which is technically not possible as of now.
Multiverse:
It is a concept that universe is not only one but multiple . Each has different physics, events, and rules. The core gist of the Multiverse is that at every random time , a decision makes a new universe with different possibilities of the outcomes. For example, if a multiverse exists, at the time of bigbang , universe would split into different universe based on the possibilties and different planets with different atomspheric conditions and elements. In the same way, each person would be altogether different in each universe based on the decision he has taken.
Conclusion:
With the limitations of today's World, time travel both in forward and backward has only been possible in movies, but not in the real world but who knows some day we might see it too. What do you think it will be possible in the coming years? If time travel is possible, are we hundreds or thousands of years away? Comment your views in the comment section.
