The story of the devotee Nandi and laughter

The story of the devotee Nandi and laughter is a story of coexistence between humans and animals. Everything is possible with love. There was a village in the valleys between the winding hills. A farmer named Sanyam lived in that village. That farmer had only one bull. The name of that bull was Nandi. Nandi was a magnificent bull. His shoulders were broad and muscles were strong. He spent his days working hard in the fields. Sanyam was also proud of Nandi's work. Nandi would plough the land diligently to prepare it for farming. Nandi, who worked hard from morning to evening, would stop only for food and water. Nandi was not only hardworking but also a master lover. Sanyam also had full faith in Nandi. Both of them would do successful farming together and grow a good crop.

The injured monkey

Once Sanyam and Nandi were returning home from the field. On the way, Nandi saw an injured monkey and started going towards him. Sanyam also started following Nandi. Nandi went and stopped near the monkey and started shaking it with his feet. The monkey was injured, but it opened its eyes. Then Sanyam gave it water to drink. Then, he lifted it and laid it on Nandi's back. Nandi and Sanyam brought the monkey home. They took good care of it there. Within a few days, the monkey recovered. When the monkey recovered, he would show many tricks and make everyone laugh. Sanyam named the monkey Hansi. Whenever Nandi would go to the field, the monkey would also go to the field every day riding on Nandi's back. Their friendship was also becoming stronger.

Hansi also became family

When Sanyam would signal, Hansi would fill Nandi's food container with grass. Hansi also started helping the farmer. Sometimes he would fill the bucket with water, and sometimes he would also help in irrigating the field. He would eat fruits himself and also collect fruits and vegetables for the farmer. He would even fill baskets to sell in the market. Both the animals, Nandi the bull and Hansi the monkey, were living happily at Sanyam's house. It was the rainy season. Sanyam had cultivated corn on his field. There was a good crop of corn. Now only the corn cobs were left to be plucked from the corn plants. Meanwhile Sanyam went with his family to attend a wedding. It was all for the day. Sanyam was to return in the evening.

Thieves enter the field

Nandi was tied outside the house. Hansi was also playing there. The field was visible from Sanyam's house. Just then some people entered Sanyam's field and started plucking corn cobs. Seeing this Nandi started bellowing. Showing her intelligence Hansi untied the rope around Nandi's neck and sat on his back. Nandi reached the field running and started running here and there fast. The corn thieves started running here and there. Nandi and Hansi together chased away all the thieves. Someone's towel fell in the field and someone's slippers broke in the process of running away and were left in the field. Hansi signaled Nandi to go home. Nandi came home with Hansi. There Nandi put the sack used for carrying grass on Nandi's back and sat down. Then both of them came back to the field.

Devotion of Nandi and Hansi

Farmer Sanyam had two sacks to bring the grass. These were tied to each other by a rope. Sanyam would put it on Nandi's back in such a way that the rope would hang on Nandi's back and both the sacks would hang on Nandi's left and right side. Hansi also put the sack on Nandi in such a way and started filling it with corn cobs. When both the sacks were full, they both went home. Hansi could not take the sacks down, so Nandi slowly sat down and crawled out of the rope. Hansi covered the sacks full of corn cobs with straw. Then he put the other sack to carry the grass on Nandi's back and went to the field and again started collecting corn cobs in the sacks.

Emotional Sanyam

Meanwhile, when Sanyam reached home, he saw that there was a pile of straw and both the animals were missing. He could not understand anything. When he started removing the straw, he found that there were sacks full of corn cobs. He was surprised. When he looked towards the field, both the animals were in the field and the monkey was plucking corn cobs. When Sanyam reached the field running, he saw other people's slippers and towels lying in the field. He understood that thieves had come to the field and his animals saved his crops. As soon as he reached near Nandi and Hansi, Nandi started bellowing, Hansi also ran towards him. Farmer Sanyam started crying while hugging his animals. Then he started caressing them lovingly. Sanyam had become indebted to his Nandi and Hansi.
