THE GIRL IN THE BLUE HOODIE
Chapter 1 – The Bus Stop The first time I saw her, she was sitting alone at the bus stop outside our school gate, her blue hoodie pulled so far over her head that I could barely see her face. Everyone else walked past her like she was part of the bench—like she didn’t exist.

Tattoos & Rail Guns Chapter 6: Day of the Doctor
The next day, Lieutenant Sawyer started her plans for Douglas and Samuels. She took advantage of them eating together with Walker to talk to them. Fortunately, they had taken a trip to the PX and so Douglas was not in his usual blacks but instead a pair of jeans and a PT shirt. Well, Walker was sort of with them; he was deep in a book with something Latin as the title.

The Thief and the Prince – Chapter 3: Peacock
Peacock Morning light broke gently across the forest as Kael and Arin followed a narrow path woven between towering ancient trees. The Thief and the Prince – Chapter 2: Farewell, Paevia
Farewell, Paevia Dawn crept slowly over the kingdom of Althera, painting the sky in faint gold and silver, but the light could not soften what the land had become. Smoke still rose from the lower districts, and the cold wind carried the smell of ashes.

Self Care Hobbies And Life
When we think about hobbies do we automatically think self-care why or why not? Are hobbies and self-care one in the same? Well let’s think about this for a moment, when we talk about our hobbies we aren’t usually talking about the self-care that we do, we could be to some extent but not usually. Self-care is just something we do to relax ourselves in the form of something we enjoy, a hobby is more something that we do that we enjoy. When we think of self-care for ourselves and hobbies for ourselves what comes to mind? Is it all about going out and getting our nails or hair done that we consider self-care or is it, reading a book or watching a television show? Now I know I probably listed a hobby or two there, but that’s the point some self-care things that we do are hobbies or can be hobbies too. This is how life, hobbies and self-care can be one in the same. Now it might not be that way for everyone but for some people that is how it is.

Memoir | Retirement | Part VI of VI
In 1986, the U.S. Department of Prominence provided me with opportunities to explore life beyond the confines of my low-income housing projects in Southeast Washington, D.C. From 1997-1999, I was fortunate enough to travel the globe on their behalf, offering me a broader perspective of the world. This chance to see the world at the government’s expense was an incredible blessing, a true gift from above. Working closely with U.S. diplomats was an exhilarating experience, filled with high-energy tasks and challenges. Collaborating with these dedicated individuals greatly enriched my character and wisdom. I am immensely thankful for the valuable experiences I gained while working at this federal government agency.

An urgent email was distributed to office secretaries from the Secretary at the U.S. Department of Prominence requesting that all his key staff come to the Press Room in our building for an urgent press briefing regarding his formal statement for the local and cable news outlets. I had to move quickly to ensure our bureau’s incoming assistant secretary was present at the Secretary’s press briefing. This meant I had to interrupt her swearing-in ceremony, which wasn’t an easy task. As expected, I faced resistance from her advisor.

Brass Ring Chapter 5: The Storm Gathers
Late morning sunlight streamed into the room. Paul stretched, almost hitting Bruno. He smiled, happy that he had taken the day off and, better yet, had convinced Bruno to play hooky as well. He lifted the blanket the two shared, appreciative that Bruno was as trim as he was in his Corsair days; he'd bet a million dollars that Bruno could still defeat a swarm of crazed swordsmen even today. He got up, deliberately keeping himself to "normal" speeds, and walked to the kitchen.
