Dueling Kingdoms - Part 1
Krisanthanese hated her full name, so she commanded everyone to call her Kris. Going out to the woods, in order to practice her sword fighting, was always part of her daily routine. Gripping her sword tightly, she swung it skillfully through the air. She swung it again but this time a loud chink was heard and she hit another sword. The sound echoed through the tall trees, making birds flutter in a frantic rush. Her friend Roy was doing his best to defend his pride. They battled intensely, as if it was to the very death.

Everyone wanted her throne. As much as she longed to disappear with Leufroy to some distant island and live out her days in peace, she had a duty to her people. She was their Queen, whether she liked it or not.

Chapter 2: The Ill Favored Clove. Content Warning.

Turning on her back, yet again, she began to feel annoyed. With a sigh of exasperation, she sat up and turned on her lamp. With a tilt of her head, mouth pouted, she picked up the folded note on her nightstand.

Chapter 1: The Ill Favored Clove
“Clover! It’s time for supper!” An eleven-year-old girl with blonde hair, raised her head from a field of daffodils and began running towards her mother’s voice. Lips thin and uneven, a protruding nose that was narrower than a match, (it was wonder how she could breathe at all), accompanied by arched, slightly bushy eyebrows.
