FATED: Part 1
Fun Fact: I first wrote this story waaay back in 2017 after a conversation with a friend of mine: we were playing the old 'ring game' to find out how many kids we were supposed to have... I came out with only one girl, and, for some reason, felt very insulted by it. After I wrote the story, I was so proud of it I included it in a small, personal book of early short stories to keep on my shelf. I still have that book, by the way, and was so proud of this one that I posted it's (very) rough draft to the Fiction Press account I kept years ago. Extra brownie-points if you can find it there, haha!

The Rat’s Tale Part 3/ Prequel
“You know I’m having a Christmas party, right?” Diamond asked in a tone that implied not only that she’d already invited me, but that this was a friendship, not a client/ stylist relationship. I thought that was weird, but it was the holidays, and a Mariah Carey tune can really bring the best out of people.

*********Chapter Six********* "I don't know, I feel lucky, and this is a reward from our God. But thanks to Alan for being here, I looked around and he greeted me with a smile and enthusiasm before starting a professional role that convinced me that I was in Indian cinema. This is not ordinary, we are not ordinary people; he is the hero of those excellent characters, meticulously depicted. He took my heart with him and walked away, and his voice stayed in my ear with the last sentence he said. There was an expression of happiness and gratitude in his eyes that motivated me to return to the manager's office again.

******Chapter Four****** As she talked, she observed a little grin escape her lips and the sparkle in her eyes returning: "I have a key to a treasure." I must dare to open it, and the adventure must provide me with the fortitude to uncover the key to this treasure. It's not in my nature to enjoy riddles, but the way she presents them piques my interest and makes me want to listen more. I can sense her joy in her eloquence and word choice. 'What type of treasure is this?' I inquired.

******Chapter Three****** "Professor Salsabeel... She came to a halt and turned to face me, her eyes steady and confident, as if all the noise and congestion around us had vanished. She smiled a grin I couldn't understand except in our last talk, a regretful smile, and said:

Blackbird Fly Chapter Eight
The Flight Academy "Mr. Amsbury, what inspires you to become a pilot?" "Thank you for asking, Miss Herschel. From a young age, I have had a fascination with flying. In grade school, I would sit on the lunch benches and watch the birds as they flew from the sky, beating their wings slowly with a full range of motion as they would gracefully land on the tabletops scouting around for food. I knew I wanted to be part of that world, gliding gracefully in the sky, feeling free, kissing the clouds."
