Rooftop Renegades: A Dystopian Rebel's Tale of Freedom

Fire, and the Fight for the Future

Rooftop Renegades

In the year 2147, the city of Neoterra gleams with neon lights and suffocates beneath its own shadows. Towering skyscrapers split the clouds while drones hum overhead like digital vultures. The government, a faceless machine called the Authority, controls everything: movement, thought, even dreams. Beneath the polished surface, rebellion simmers like a heartbeat waiting to explode.

At the edge of this machine-choked metropolis, perched on the roof of an abandoned high-rise, sits Kael—a 17-year-old girl with storm-colored eyes and a soul stitched together by scars and stardust. She wears a green bomber jacket torn at the seams, her boots laced with wire instead of string, and a red hoodie passed down from someone she barely remembers.

To most, Kael is just another ghost in the city—another orphan of war. But in the underground, among whisper networks and digital resistance forums, she’s something more. She’s known as Skylark, the elusive rooftop courier who delivers banned messages, ancient music tracks, and hope across a city that's forgotten how to dream.

But even rebels need allies.

Enter Rika—once a feared enforcer for a gang known as The Chromium Blades, now a vigilante with flame-red streaks in her hair and a cybernetic arm she built herself. With tattoos marking every soul she’s lost and every vow she’s broken, Rika is a ghost who came back for revenge. And when Kael saves her from a drone ambush, their destinies collide.
