let bad days be bad days

days be bad days

By Karlin Published 10 months ago 1 min read

Each and every one of us have our own ways to cope and heal. While some try to heal by going out with the people they love, some try to heal on their own. Like isolating from everything and everyone, deactivating socials, shutting doors, and building a tall wall. I believe that we isolate ourselves because we often feel that we’ll be a burden to other people. Opening up would feel like a waste of time. And that’s okay.

When you feel like vanishing from the world, don’t hesitate to do it. It’s an act of kindness to yourself because you know that you are ought to do things that help you calm down and regain your peace. Enjoy the little things within your own pace. Being alone allows you to have the freedom of being yourself without worrying about the validation from others.

Disappear if you have to.

You don’t always need to put a smile on your face. You don’t always need to pretend that you’re okay. You don’t need to show up for the sake of others. Focus on yourself; give importance to what your mind and body needs. It’s okay to admit it hurts.

Never suppress your emotions. Allow yourself to be sad, to feel sorrow, to cry, and be mad at the world. Because that’s what makes us human. Being vulnerable doesn’t mean that you’re weak; it means that you’re strong enough to acknowledge your emotions.

Life doesn’t end when you lose yourself for a little while.

And you can always come back again. You can take all the time in the world to pick up yourself. So, just going let your bad days be bad days. That’s life, after all. Bad days are always going to come. But, they’re not going to last forever.

Let each night feel heavy and each day feel empty, until it doesn’t anymore.

You’re going to be okay.
