Eclipsed Souls: A Tale of Twin Flames
Chapter 19 : Dance and Disorder

Kelby found the perfect spot near the stage, where a live band played smooth tunes that echoed across the lively beach club. He was a regular here, and the staff greeted him with warm smiles. Waitresses, bartenders, even the band members acknowledged him with friendly nods as they passed by.
After ordering English Fish & Chips for the group and a round of drinks, Kelby leaned back, his arm wrapped protectively around Lila’s shoulders. Once in a while, he'd kiss her forehead, attempting to calm her, but Lila’s envious eyes kept darting toward Arnaz and Saliza, unable to hide her growing resentment. Kelby noticed but chose to ignore it, determined to host Arnaz and Saliza to the best of his ability.
As the night went on, the music filled the air, and Kelby turned to Arnaz with a grin. "Any special song request for Saliza? The band can play just about anything."
Arnaz thought for a moment, then smiled, his eyes glinting mischievously. "How about something we can salsa to?"
Kelby chuckled and signaled to the band, requesting the song. Within moments, the lively beat of salsa filled the club, and Arnaz pulled Saliza onto the dance floor. Their movements were synchronized, fluid, and captivating. They danced with such grace and chemistry that the clubbers couldn’t help but cheer and clap along, their energy electrifying the room.
But as Arnaz and Saliza danced, Lila’s envy only deepened. She clenched her drink tighter, her eyes narrowing every time Arnaz twirled Saliza or whispered something in her ear. Kelby, ever the attentive boyfriend, squeezed her shoulder reassuringly and kissed her cheek, though it did little to calm her.
The night continued, and as Arnaz and Saliza returned to their seats, a rowdy group of young adults entered the club and took the table next to theirs. They were loud, already intoxicated, and soon their cursing drew the ire of an older group sitting nearby. The tension between the two groups escalated quickly, their arguments growing louder with each passing minute.
Saliza, with her heightened sense of empathy, felt the brewing storm before it even began. She leaned over to Arnaz and whispered, “We should leave. This is about to get ugly.”
Arnaz nodded, ready to suggest stepping outside to Kelby, but just as Saliza reached out to hold his hand, the inevitable happened. One of the young men shoved an older man, and in the process, he knocked Saliza off her chair.
The world seemed to slow down for Arnaz. In an instant, he was by her side, lifting her gently from the floor and moving her to a safer spot, far from the escalating fight. His sharp amber eyes darkened with fury as he looked back at the man who had hurt Saliza. Something inside him shifted, an ancient power stirring within him.
Arnaz's voice, when he spoke, wasn’t his own. It was deeper, darker, a voice that echoed with the authority of something far more terrifying than human. It was a devilish tone that resonated through the club, making every demon in the vicinity fall silent with fear.
“Enough!”
Arnaz roared, his voice cutting through the noise like a blade.
The brawl halted immediately. Everyone froze, their bodies rigid as though held by an invisible force. Wearing his striking red Sukajan jacket, embroidered with a golden dragon, Arnaz stood like a towering figure of power. His supernatural abilities rippled through the air, and with a simple wave of his hand, the conflict dissolved, the aggressors recoiling as if pushed by an unseen force.
The young man who had shoved Saliza stumbled backward, his eyes wide with terror as Arnaz’s power washed over him. The once rowdy club was now deathly quiet, all eyes on Arnaz.
In stunned silence, the clubbers watched as Arnaz returned to Saliza’s side, his expression calm once more. The threat had been neutralized, and the tension was gone, leaving only awe in its wake.
The dragon on his jacket gleamed under the neon lights, a silent testament to the force they had just witnessed.
Arnaz took Saliza's hand, his amber eyes softening as he looked at her. "Let’s get out of here."
Kelby, still shaken by what he had just witnessed, hurried to follow them out of the club, with Lila trailing behind in stunned silence.
As they stepped out of the club, the cool night air hit them, washing away some of the tension. Kelby rushed after Arnaz and Saliza, his face flushed with worry. He caught up to them, an apologetic look in his eyes.
“Arnaz, I’m really sorry about what happened back there,” Kelby began, rubbing the back of his neck. “I didn’t expect things to get so out of hand. I should have done something earlier.”
But to Kelby’s surprise, Arnaz was already calm, his demeanor completely shifted. The rage that had surged through him minutes ago seemed like a distant memory now. Kelby noticed how Saliza’s gentle touch on Arnaz’s arm grounded him, her presence silently soothing whatever storm had brewed inside him.
Arnaz turned to Kelby, his expression soft and reassuring. “It’s okay, Kelby. Don’t worry about it. Things like that happen.” His voice was steady, free of any lingering anger. “Saliza and I are fine.”
Kelby blinked, momentarily stunned by Arnaz’s ease. He wasn’t sure if it was the supernatural energy he had felt or the bond between Arnaz and Saliza, but whatever it was, it had defused the situation in a way he couldn’t explain. With a quick nod, Kelby pulled out his smartphone and requested for a taxi.
“Let’s head back to the pier,” Kelby said, his voice a bit shaken as he booked their ride. “I’ll have the speedboat ready to take us back.”
The taxi ride was quiet, each of them lost in their own thoughts. Lila sat next to Kelby, her earlier resentment masked by silence, while Arnaz and Saliza exchanged occasional glances, their connection unspoken but clear. Kelby, though attentive to Lila, couldn’t shake the feeling of awe that lingered from the club incident.
Once they reached the pier, Kelby wasted no time steering the boat back toward Dayang Bunting Island. The night sky was dotted with stars, the water calm as the speedboat cut through it. The hum of the engine was the only sound breaking the stillness. Arnaz and Saliza sat side by side, their hands resting together, silent but at peace.
Kelby glanced over his shoulder at Arnaz, who met his gaze with a small nod. “Really, Kelby,” Arnaz said, his tone reassuring, “don’t worry about it. Everything’s fine now. Thank you”
Kelby nodded, feeling a bit lighter at Arnaz’s words. “Thanks, Arnaz. I just didn’t want the night to end on such a sour note.”
“It won’t,” Arnaz replied, glancing at Saliza. “Tomorrow’s a new day, and we have much more important things to focus on.”
As they sailed under the blanket of stars, the tension from earlier dissipated, leaving only the quiet serenity of the sea.
