In the light that looked like the dying of the night and the broken dawn, Entrepreneur Paul had already shaved, showered, dressed and looked at markets in Japan.

He looked pensive. Thoughts coursed through his mind faster than anything on the Earth. He looked at his returns and rejoiced. Every breath he inhaled and exhaled meant that he had earned a cool ten million dollars.

He peered at the message that crossed his screen. For a moment he hesitated. Then he swiped to observe the lines. Loreen.

He typed. “Good morning to you, too.”

The shame remained that he couldn’t show inflection in his words. It was like a specter had haunted his thoughts despite his friendly demeanor he wished to display.

“I want you to come by later this afternoon. I’m bringing Lisa in on this meeting, too.”

With a breath pushed out, Entrepreneur Paul looked at his watch and noticed the meticulous craftsmanship.

“What time?”

She provided. He grinned. The whole exchange ended there. Entrepreneur Paul felt the sensation of the power he had at the start of the day. He snapped open an energy drink. The cool, bubbly liquid enlivened him and brought him to a newer, fresher place in his mind.

He thought of the rockets. In his mind, he saw the sleek gleam of the steel and the luminous fireball underneath it. In his imagination, he thought of the blue-black sky and the dots of stars edging out to the bleakness of space.

He would clear, along with Lisa and Loreen, five billion dollars each. The dollar amounts danced in his thoughts.

He pored over more markets: London, Milan, Lagos. His whole body surged with the sips of the drink and he sensed the might. He realized that it was just true passion and profit.
