Common Man drafted a pamphlet he published to the Internet. It consisted of his own principles made explicit through his blistering prose. Fiery and angry, the piece spread across the web tinged with bitterness and ferocious bite. The malignancy of the document emboldened some and enraged others.

“You’ve done it again, Com’,” Socialista sighed. “I don’t know how you come up with this stuff,” she flattered.

“It’s good,” Fascinder said. “For a commie,” he mocked with a smirk.

“Hey, we agreed to fight the Individualists with something that we can all agree on, even if it hurts our own purpose. That’s what selflessness is all about,” Common Man shot back.

“Maybe,” Fascinder declared looking at his smartphone screen.

“We’ve gotta stop them somehow,” Socialista observed. “I mean with these deals they’re signing they’re robbing young children of their right to food and water.”

“We could argue that, but that’s past tense. That’s the old way of looking at it,” Fascinder reminded her. “Now, we have to make ‘collectivism chic.’ It’s gotta be cooler than just some revolutionary’s visage on a t-shirt. We’ve gotta ensure that we’re the only option against the evils of selfishness and capitalism.”

Common Man cleared his throat. “That’s right. We can’t have a movement without capturing the culture. At present, places like America have no clue as to what they want. In past times the prevailing notion was for the group. Now, there’s a streak of that trickling through the various levels of society.”

“That’s where we come in and rule. We must have a clash of ideals that make it possible for us to create a thoroughly wonderful vision of human unity,” Socialista stated.

“Fascinder,” Common called. He looked up from the screen.

“What is it?”

“Nothing.”

“It’s something. What do you want?”

“It’s nothing.”
