One of the learned machines malfunctioned. It sort of jittered about, almost like an awkward dance, before it hit the floor. The engineers and technicians all looked at their devices and made earnest efforts to get it functional again. Streamlined, the machine looked like it had just come off of the assembly line…which it did. It had in it the capacity to fail, however. That’s what the folks at SuperSynths focused on in their endeavors. From the gleaming silver streak that graced each machine, to the polish on the components, each one represented an individual piece of Bellinda Gummer’s mind. She sat at her desk, watching the run of this latest creation. She wore an all white suit with creases in just the right places. Gold rings and a thin necklace with a diamond pendant lay in a neat way on her chest.
