From a bicycle to a personal jet, Atkinson could relish whatever vehicle. Short trips to the market to pick up some fruits, vegetables and meats always proved to be worth it. He laid the game down to the ladies working at the various establishments. They took ride shares back to his house. Conversations lasted until the wee moments of the morning. Maybe six or seven women all laughed and then became dead serious when discussing ideas. A woman named Sarme spoke. She had blue black skin and hazel eyes that made it look like two flames danced on her face.
“I think we not only need a cashless society, but credit and any other form of currency, especially, we should do away with cryptocurrency.”
Atkinson pounced at three thirty-three in the morning. “So you’re saying go to a barter system? We should all just revert back to selling cows for corn?”
The other women laughed and sipped wine. Some of them fell asleep. Atkinson looked at Sarme. She didn’t flinch. By standing firm on her ground, he knew he could keep her as an assistant.
“No,” Sarme said. “We should just have some form of exchange that is primal and carnal like the cows and corn you posited, but also able to spread the wealth around and be more equal.”
“What you speak of, my dear, is a fantasy. In a proper society, money is the only thing separating us from bloody battles in the streets,” Konida countered. She had cinnamon brown skin and hair that flowed down her back.
Atkinson looked at her with awe. He was like a scout watching young prospects for his company, and wished to explore options with them. He sent the five other women home in a rideshare.
