Golden

In his mobile device, Atkinson scrolled through potential businesses that would not only cushion his portfolio but see excellent growth. He grew weary, physically. He rubbed his eyes gently with his manicured hands.

Every firm that appeared looked and felt like the last. No originality. No ingenuity. One business had just taken a letter out of another business with the same model. It disgusted him. He sat in the back of a rideshare company and traveled to his homestay residence.

He thanked his driver and only tipped her five percent because of the patchouli oil scent and the constant recalculations. He arrived at the modest abode and scratched his head.

After showering and slipping into his pajamas, he continued to work. To find that one golden enterprise among the sea of pyrite remained his mission. With every glance at the possible, he achieved little to none. In his mind, he knew what to look for in synopsis, bio, and equity of a company. Nothing arose amidst the digital pile.

No discouragement colored his face. His simple and direct approach permitted him to persist and pursue that singular vision.

By thinking he found it, he kept in mind the reality of the matter. He may never find the true company that will bring more ideas to his palette of firms. Then, he looked and found two sisters with a hair weaving company that had earned six million dollars in two and a half years. They asked for five million dollars for a twenty percent stake in their company, a ten million dollar valuation. It was like biting into a hunk of gold and finding it to be authentic.

A smile plastered on him as he set up a meeting in a quaint New Castle restaurant not too different from the diner.
