When the rain and wind tried to deter them from their plan, they refused to let the wetness and gusts spoil their plans. A meeting at the Mercier Hotel restaurant showed Loreen with Horatio, Lisa with a new beau named Davis Etner, and Entrepreneur Paul with Miss Wilmington.

Their romantic counterparts excused themselves to have a drink at the bar so the three could make up moves.

“That’s going to be our main focus,” Entrepreneur Paul declared with authority. “We look at all the small businesses, then we assess the larger ones.”

“Yes, but how are we then going to address the problems of the mid-sized businesses? They’re going to be clambering to be heard from their comparatively modest perches.”

A sly smile curled around Lisa’s face.

“All we have to do is make all of the businesses individualized and work on their specific problems. Instead of saying ‘big,’ ‘small,’ or ‘mid-sized’ let’s just leave it at hands off all businesses.”

“Look at you,” Entrepreneur Paul noted. “It’s like your age has nothing to do with this. Your wisdom seeps through your words and makes you seem advanced beyond your current station in age.” Entrepreneur Paul always talked like this. His words flowed and ebbed like the tide. His charm resided in his broad smile and subdued tone of voice. One could mistake him for a pimp but he embodied the true essence of a man.

“Okay,” Loreen announced. “If we get more calls and texts and posts on our socials, we will be able to bring about a significant change in all of this,” she continued.

“Exactly. It won’t matter how many sizes we get, only the quality of the offer. We’ve had small businesses offer more money than big ones. It makes sense that we consider the money.”
