Aujua Denney connects to the heart with the Enchanter Enchanter manga
The soul of this creative is strongly felt

Aujua Denney is a mangaka from North America. He debuted in Global Comix with shonen manga series "Enchanter Enchanter" on January 12th 2025. The following synopsis on the series is "Enchanters possess special talents that set them apart from the average human. They are recognized by their ability to manipulate Chi. However, some use their abilities for personal gain. Some rise against Enchanters to uncover the secrets of the world. Others seek to become the highest power or simply wish to erase Enchanters from existence. Even if it’s destiny, karma, or nature, in the Enchanter world, one must understand the blur between life and death."
I've had the experience of talking with Aujua Denney recently. I came away from that conversation feeling like there are still some genuinely good people left in this world and he's one of them. Aujua was one of the most humble and kind people I've came into contact with. He certainly had an aura to him that radiated positivity to everyone in the room. The way he effortlessly exudes empathy and compassion left his presence being felt. Hearing him passionately talk about how he wants to help others and the type of philanthropy work he does are the qualities you look for in the people who want to bring true change to the world. When he talks about the meaning of the butterfly in his series and the person who inspired him it really is such a beautiful story. More importantly what stood out the most is the way others described him as someone positive and impactful in their lives. My mother always said your legacy is the way you're remembered, which is heavily connected to how you treat others and make them feel.

The Uriaz Clan in Enchanter Enchanter had a lot of people from their clan killed. You could say it was a massacre of their people, many years passed before they retaliated but in the eyes of the public it looks like they are wrong. The younger members of Akira weren't born during this time so it clashes two different ideals. One ideal being that the Uriaz were left with these circumstances because of the things their people endured. The other ideal being the young Enchanters having empathy for the Uriaz brothers but also understanding it'll create a cycle of revenge in the world if they go back and forth.
For Aujua Denney he understands he has to be very careful with the theme of "Revenge". When talking about revenge Aujua said "The Uriaz brothers had their family killed and the enchanters battling them didn't. They don't have that experience so it's very hard for anyone to tell the Uriaz brothers how they should handle things." Aujua said that he has to consider the message it could send to readers such as children who read his series.

The old generation and new generation of enchanters ideologies battle heavily in this manga, especially in chapter 0.2. The elders suggest sending upcoming enchanters into battle to help against the Uriaz while Asa and Syra are against the idea of this. The elders view these lives as expendable while the current generation of enchanters value these lives. Asa and Syra want to raise the next generation of enchanters correctly and protect them from the chaos that takes away their childhood. This shows us the light and darkness in the enchanter world as these characters are burdened by what the consequences of their choices will be.
Asa and Syra have both stated they've lost friends in the enchanter world. The elders that they report to have already shown readers they're not good people. The Uriaz brothers had their people wiped out. Aujua Denney is touching a gray area of morality here highlighting that this is a story where there isn't a clear cut good or evil. Each side is likely to have people who are attached to the former and the latter. This sets up a complex relationship between power and responsibility. The theme of "Human connection" reminds us how we want to protect those important to us because we care about them.

Someone who lives fully is prepared to die anytime. That could mean many different things but it seems what Aujua wants readers to realize is these characters must make the most out of their lives. If you live a fulfilling life for 30 years with no regrets would you be okay if your time to go is now? If you live 80 years with a lot of regret would you be okay with that if it's your time to go? This topic is subjective but quotes like that sit back and make you think. Moukie Uriaz was constantly looking for that fight that would fulfill him. Readers will look back and wonder if Moukie was fulfilled in the end or if he held regret with his final words. His official age hasn't been revealed yet but Shohe stated that Sosa and Moukie were born shortly after the Uriaz betrayal which was 26 years ago in the current timeline. The message there is to make sure you have no regrets when it's your time to go. Make sure you're happy and content with the way you've lived.
Aujua Denney has definitely made us aware of his writing potential. The concept and premise of the series are interesting, it'll be exciting to see what other ways he ties new themes into the story as it progresses. This is someone we'll root for as he has a lot of opportunities on the rise. The job of a mangaka can be very taxing mentally and physically on their bodies. I hope life favors him to have a long and successful career. It's best to give someone their flowers while they're still here. I believe he'll have a garden when he's done.
