Lipstick Review: Nyx Matte
Hi everyone! So I bought a new lipstick, its purple NYX lipstick. I saw one of those lipsticks online before and was instantly drawn to it. It looked adorable. I bought it on April 29, 2022, and they delivered it five days later. I used it when I went out with friends. At first, testing it, I didn't expect it to look this good and pretty. When applied, it feels very smooth and has a long-lasting hold. The colour pretty much stays on. I can barely feel it because it's so comfortable, soft and rich. Also, the best part is you don't even need to prime your lips before applying. It looks better even without using primer. The colour does pay off and looks fantastic. Also, it is pretty cheap too, the cost of lipstick nowadays is expensive, and I got this one for a low price. It has a great smell, and when applied, it becomes smooth and rich. I wasn't expecting that. It even matches my skin tone. It looks fantastic on my lips. It doesn't seem to dry out your lips as most lipsticks do. I was nervous trying this one; however, when I tried it on, it looked lovely throughout my day out on the town. Furthermore, when applied, It didn't end up smudged on my teeth like most lipsticks in the past I tried. I used to wear other store lipsticks, and those lipsticks would come off. On the other hand, this one stays longer and should be applied every few hours. After one hour of trying it on, I only used it because it seemed to come off while eating. It doesn't have a real taste if it mistakenly goes in your mouth. Before I ordered this lipstick, I thought it would be lighter in colour. But I was wrong, it was dark purple, and I loved how it looked on me. I am not complaining. You can wear it with an adorable outfit, leggings and a cute top. Usually, I would use a lip liner with the purple lipstick, but it would probably look even better with a lipliner afterwards, but that is not the case. You can wear it without a lip liner, and it still looks nice. I like how it looked fresh and new when applying it. The formula seems better than any other traditional lipstick colour. I naturally have big plump lips, so wearing lipstick sometimes makes it hard to find the right lipstick. So I was pretty amazed when I saw this lipstick online in the NYX store. I looked through the colours and the different shades and chose the purple one out of the other colours. Also, as mentioned before, when wearing the lipstick, it did seem to come off, which could be noticeable when you are outside, around people. The colour is not quite purple-ish. As shown in the picture, it looks darker in person. I want to say the lipstick colour is unique when appropriately applied, and you can even use a gloss if you wish to over the lipstick colour. You must be careful when you eat and drink because it can come off a little bit. However, the formula is rich, nice and smooth. It takes a few minutes to dry and always blots your lips after applying the lipstick, so you can take off the access stuff and leave the rest of the lipstick on your lips. Also, the best part about wearing the NYX lipstick matte, it automatically fades into your lip colour, so it doesn't look terrible when applied to the lip. Overall, I can see myself wearing the purple matte lipstick again.
