2021 recap at mysoundMusic
I am going to keep this intro simple so I can get to sharing the music ... mysoundMusic was blessed to come across so many talented artist & musicians this past year. I wish I could include every one of the solo artist, duos, bands, producers and beat makers that I had the pleasure to assist because they all deserve to be included, however, I will have to limit it to just a few. But rest a sure, I will try to keep you updated through 2022 on as many of the artist as they release new songs, EPs, albums, projects & videos.

The Completely Arbitrary BTS Awards!
Hi, and welcome back to Silver Linings where I'm closing out a terrible year with seven rays of sunshine. 2021 was almost as bad a year as 2020 was. With additional COVID variants, political upheaval, and economies that are anything but stable, it's easy to feel the need to dive under the covers and hope it all goes away. However, unlike last year where I felt the need to vent at terrible movies and video games just to regain some level of sanity, this year I was able to keep my head by listening to the seven guys that flat-out define K-Pop.

5 of the Best Songs to End a Film. Top Story - December 2021.
I remember the first time I heard Darth Vader's theme (The Imperial March) when I first watched Star Wars as a child. Not who I was with neccessarily, or the exact time of night, but I remember the way my heart began to beat a little faster, and the slight feeling of dread that grew in me when Darth Vader's helmet appeared on-screen.

25 Greatest Songs of Lene Lovich
Lene Lovich says that much of the inspiration of her original songs came from her dreams. One area that remains consistent about Lovich's work is her lyrical fascination with romance, communication and the breakdown of both. Although she's reluctant to explain her prose - "I'd rather leave them open so the audience can participate in the music" - she confesses that they're "very personal."

Top Christmas Songs Ever
The season is upon us and no one is more excited than I am (as a Christmas baby and all.) This ol girl will be cuddling up to her fur babies, hot chocolate and the very finest in Christmas tunes. There is nothing better to put you in the mood than the liveliness of the season's music. I normally have music playing 24/7 and starting the first week of December it is mostly all kringle style. I love Christmas and everything about it. From apple cider to baking cookies to Christmas cards and decorating and the music! Here is a list of greats that you can listen to all season and/or watch the videos. Just subscribe and click.

Songs About Immigrants and Refugees
In another piece on songs about roots, I concluded with a number that disparaged the very concept of roots, a song about following your dreams and searching for freedom. "People have the ability to lay down their own roots, wherever and whenever they want," I noted. "Maybe part of growing up is not accepting the roots you came with but setting down your own roots in a place and with people of your own choosing."

The best of Lana Del Rey
I've loved Lana Del Rey since a friend sent me a link to the "Video Games" music video. The dreamy melody with the poetic lyrics sung by the hauntingly beautiful voice had me mesmerized. The following is a list of my 22 favorite Lana songs because I couldn't manage to shorten my list to 20. I've decided to exclude songs from Blue Bannisters, her latest.
