Polymath Actor, Recording Artist, and Filmmaker Amir Royale Releases His ‘Stories of the Lost, Rich & Tormented’ EP
From Amir Royale Sophomore year, NYU Tisch’s Clive Davis Institute, 2017. I created the concept of Stories of the Lost, Rich & Tormented as a "Writing the Hit Song: Deep Cutz" homework assignment. Over the course of 14 weeks, I crafted and reworked about 12 or so ideas. Suddenly, my songwriting professor at the time (Eren Cannata of Cove City Sound Studios, Facethouse Records & Warner Chapel Music), directed us to use all the content we created thus far to formulate an EP. This project would then become one we’d pitch and present to potential A&R scouts. It was our final project. I curated 5 of my best records across the class to showcase a conceptual narrative and description of greed, lust, and youth insecurity within American culture. It is the final entry within my four-EP-long music chronicle (dating back to my 2015 EP, This Is for You.). To let this project go free finally—feels like a blessing. Thank you.

Li’l Beethoven By Sparks
Introduction Yes, this is an album review, although the digital deluxe version of this has three more songs than the beautifully packaged book CD that I originally bought. It is an album that I play quite often but is not a rock album and is more like some classical or musical-based format. This sees a move into a more classical-influenced sound, with a heavy reliance on repetitive lyrics and piano lines, synthesized orchestration and multi-tracked vocals in place of percussion.

The Pure Pitch Method Review
Though not a stand-alone singing course per se, Ryan Cameron’s Pure Pitch Method has the potential to be a helpful tool for singers. The basic idea behind this course is that anyone can develop their sense of musical pitch and obtain the coveted sense of ‘perfect pitch’. In times past it was believed that only certain people were born with this ability. In my personal experience, I’ve seen people that appear to have been born with perfect pitch, though that’s not to say that it can be learned as well.

Berlioz Dream on the night of Sabbath
This haunting piece of music called “Symphony fantastique” was composed by the French Composer Hector Berlioz in 1830, the composer was 28 at that time. The full tittle for this piece is “Symphonie Fantastique – Episode de la vie d’une artiste en cinqu parties” (Fantastical Symphony, an episode in the life of an artist in five parts.)

Tchaikovsky's personal life
Before we go any further, why don’t we address the delicate topic of Tchaikovsky’s personal life. Three women brought joy to his turbulent and tormented personal life. It is well documented that in the year 1870 he met his first fiancé, Desiree Artot (1835-1907). Later on, he met another woman that stunned him, the one that became his first wife, the beautiful Antonina Miliukova (1849-1917). The third piece of the puzzle was called Nadezhda Von Merck (1831-1894) who became his patreon for a long time.

Tchaikovsky's famous works
In my previous articles we scratch the surface of is most beloved compositions, but it does not make justice to his delightful body of work. One of the things I find remarkable is the vast range of music he managed to convey. The display of mood and emotion is outstanding, not too many composers could convey such message, such feeling, it could be a movement, a motif, a phrase. Tchaikovsky would leave something on the listeners’ mind to grasp, be prepared.

Tchaikovsky's mysterious cause of death.
Tchaikovsky did his best to continue touring and travelling even though he lost his patronesse. The financial aspect of the relationship was not as important to him. The loss of a female friend made him feel really depressed but life stored so much for him, it was like the end of a chapter and the beginning of a new one.

Tchaikovsky
“Where the heart does not enter, there can be no music.” I find this quote to be the perfect introduction to today’s topic. I would like to do a brief recap of Pyotr Ilyish Tchaikovsky’s life. There’s no doubt that he is one of the greatest composer of all times. His music is timeless, there’s something about his musical approach that its totally his. His music sounds like Tchaikovsky, there’s like a watermark on his works, nothing sounds like him.
