2022 was a sad year. It was the year we lost the iconic Meat Loaf. 20 January 2022 to be exact. Aged a young 74, it was a sad loss to the music world. A sad loss in general. Although no official cause of death has ever been released, it is suggested he died of Covid-19 complications.

"Mastering the Art of Reading Music: Understanding Treble and Bass Clefs"
Reading music is an essential skill for any musician, as it allows them to understand and perform written compositions. The process of reading music involves interpreting the symbols and memorandum set up on a distance of music in order to play the correct notes on an instrument. At its utmost introductory position, reading music involves understanding the layout of a distance of music, including the staff, clefs, and note values. The staff, which is the foundation of distance music, is made up of five vertical lines and four spaces, on which notes are placed.

Songs Without Words
Introduction When I was in the Bok the band leader Andy Marshall described instrumentals as "Songs Without Words" and we had a few of those, though none made it to our demo tape that you can hear on Soundcloud link below (the pic of my ugly mug) if you feel like listening to something John Peel described as "primitive" and Stiff Records just sent us a pre-printed rejection letter. Rabid wanted to put out "Happy Birthday"/"Mystery Band" as a double "A" side single but they folded before that happened.

When I aimed to be the Rockstar
Once upon a time, I was living in a small village. I was a free-spirited individual who loved to live life on my own terms. I loved to sing, dance, and play the guitar, but the villagers had other ideas for me. They wanted me to be a farmer, just like my father and grandfather before me. But I knew that wasn't the life for me.

Polymathic Actor, Recording Artist, and Filmmaker Amir Royale Releases New Single βPhonicsβ (feat. Sydney Palmer and Declan Sheehy-Moss)
From Amir Royale I don't think I've ever really felt well-understood by my peers or mentors. Most my life I was outcasted for my passionate and exuberant outlook. "Phonics" was a way for me to define what that felt like β but, furthermore β showcase to others how to combat it. I've had this song sitting in a vault since before the pandemic. Thus, I recruited some of my favorite people in this whole wide world to share the stage for one of my last few "harder" stories to tell. Or, well β at least I think so. Declan Sheehy-Moss (a good friend of the next J. Dilla and Robert Glasper - Cisco Swank); as well as Sydney Kate Palmer (an NYU student of mine) both bring this so beautifully to life β and, I don't know β I just hope you finally get it one day. Maybe, just maybeΒ β I even pray I'll still be here on Earth to know finally what it feels like. That's if God decides I'm lucky enough. I love and miss you all, always. Walk good, take care. πΊβ€οΈβπ©ΉπΊ

10. Under the Rug These Austin based world travelers have a beautiful and nostalgic sound, for those who love to cry to Hozier while driving home from work. There is a sense of wandering and timelessness to their music, the songwriting is evocative and deeply personal. Already on the rise, this band has promising potential in 2023.
