Eddie Has Left The Building
Encountering Meatloaf in The Rocky Horror Picture Show The first time I had an encounter with Michael Lee Aday (born Marvin Lee Aday; September 27, 1947 – Left This Mortal Plane January 20, 2022), was watching the excellent musical Richard O’ Brien’s “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” featuring Tim Curry as the sweet transvestite Dr. Frank-N-Furter - A Scientist and Meatloaf as Eddie, an Ex Delivery Boy on a Motorcycle with only half a brain who met his comeuppance with a pick axe.

'Covers'
James Taylor's eighteenth album, Covers, was recorded over 10 snowy days in January 2008, at a converted barn in Washington, Massachusetts. As the title suggests, it is an album of cover songs, which was perhaps inevitable since over the years James had frequently peppered his LPs with pop and R&B tunes that fit his fancy. The album was recorded primarily with his touring band, which since the recording of October Road in 2002, had added fiddle player and singer Andrea Zonn. The album was released on September 30, 2008, on the label, Hear Music.

From A Bird’s Eye View by Cordae | Album Review
The focus in Cordae’s music has always been lyricism. I think this is one of the things that separates him from his peers. I don’t think he aims for catchy, chart-topping radio fodder but rather cohesive projects with a certain theme in mind. This was especially evident in The Lost Boy that was heavily focused on family and personal growth. From A Bird’s Eye View is no different in its approach.

We Will Remember All Her Champagne Problems: Ranking Songs from Taylor Swift's 'evermore'
It’s been over a year since Taylor Swift dropped not one but two surprise albums and the fans went completely nuts. Just like its sibling, evermore is flowing with soothing melodies, alto notes and literary references which make up some fascinating narratives.

My Review of "The Weeknd: Dawn FM"
The Weeknd has a new album out and it sounds quite familiar to me but only because I recognize the era that he's emulating. I know for sure a lot of younger listeners will be curious about this "new" sound of the Weeknd. Though there is a story throughout the album if you listen through from start to finish.

Camu Tao and the King of Hearts
If you watched Adult Swim as I did, you may have come across one of Camu Tao's songs while watching one of Toonami's commercials. In 2007, Adult Swim showed the promo for Blood C which included "Plot a Little" by the late singer. The song was haunting, with abstract vocals that complimented the commercial very well. Today, the song is included in a compliation called "Definitive Swim," which includes songs that were included in promos and bumps on Adult Swim.

Best Music 2021
Here’s some of our top artists this year. Let’s get into it. Valerie June: Valerie June is literally a star — a bright shining sphere of revolution— fallen to earth in the form of human dust in order to levitate our souls into higher consciousness with each song. A perfect manifestation of Southern Buddhism.

Musical Digest: Honorata Skarbek "Recepta"
[Cue tapping a microphone on an illuminated stage] “Is this thing on?” Ok. Great. Now that you can all hear, it’s time for another different type of musical digest. It’s been a while, there have been a lot of great lyrics that have passed through my eardrums, but also a lot of questionable renditions. Don’t worry though…this particular one isn’t exactly in that realm.
