Sour / Emails I Can't Send: Thematic Comparison
No, this is not what it looks like. Despite the drama caused by the whole Joshua-Olivia-Sabrina ‘love triangle’, we are not here to talk about that today. We’re here to discuss two brilliant albums and how they each portray an end of a relationship, looking into instrumental and lyrical choices. As putting songs based on their order in the album would not be helpful for this purpose, I will try to match the songs thematically as much as possible and touch upon the ones left afterwards. Let’s begin!

My Review of "Kendrick Lamar's: Mr. Morale and the Big Steppers"
Kendrick Lamar's: Mr. Morale and the Big Steppers is one of the most personal and honest rap albums I've ever heard. You'll have to be prepared before you listen tot his album but it's not totally off brand for a Kendrick Lamar album. We've kind of seen this in his previous albums but this one is a whole different animal.

The Master piece of Blond
With this being my first post I wanted to start off with one of my favorite artist, Frank Ocean. But we aren’t here to just discuss him by ourselves, we’re here to talk about this classic album “Blonde”. If we really wanna look at this from a deeper perspective then we have to look at all sides and layers of the album. First I believe that there is a story that he is trying to tell us through the album. It all starts in the very beginning with “Nikes” giving us a feeling of Euphoria and this is really the beginning of his newfound relationship. He talks about his love for them and how they make him feel in “Ivy” and showing him new experiences in “Pink + White”. Signs of change seem to come with “Skyline To” giving a happier peaceful melody that we all like. But that’s not the main big change I noticed. With “Self Control” being the first that gave off a more reminiscent atmosphere followed by “Good Guy”. It’s almost like the puppy love phase is over and signs are pointing to things ending very soon. “Nights” is one of my favorites off the album and really makes you think of how things could’ve been or should’ve been. Frank begins to talk in past tense as if what we expected came true, that the relationship is over and everything is over. “Pretty Sweet” has a kind of distorted sound to it where everything after that is for being alone where there is no significant other and it’s just you and your thoughts. The finale part would be “Godspeed” where I believe he has now made peace with the aftermath. The song is melodic and amazing while the lyrics really nodded to him making peace by saying ” I let go of my claim on you” and “You’ll always have this place to call home”. Beautiful, just perfect and to top it all off we have the memorable ending of “Future Free”. I hope you enjoy the rest.

My Review of "Lizzo: Special"
Lizzo: Special is Lizzo's latest album and it just came out in 2022. I have only heard of Lizzo through mainstream media but I never really heard too many songs. The only one that I've heard of was "Good as Hell". It's a catchy song but I never ventured off to listen to the whole album.

Give or Take by Giveon | Album Review
I had a chance to review this album for Line of Best Fit upon its release, but due to a word limit, I don’t think I could analyze and explain fully how I feel about the album as I can here. I didn’t do this album justice. There are a few important points that will carry over from my original review plus a few more after a handful of listens over the past couple of days. That being said, Give or Take, Giveon’s debut studio album, is truly a focus and revival of traditional soul music. It feels like you could drop this album in the 80s and 90s and it would be perfectly okay. There aren’t very mainstream artist that are tackling this genre in stride while paying reverence to its roots and succeeding.

You Are a Producer - Whether You Think it Or Not
Whether trading verses to a superior melody or altering circles you are creating, in some cases it appears to be the makers are practically creepy, nondescript names on a collection. Those weird names that sit behind the studio https://bchillmusic.com/ work area get wizardry going. They can make a band greater, give them another sound that they required, and take you to another level you never figured you could get to. Anyway there's nothing creepy about it, nothing unpleasant or creepy or mystical. Like all the other things in life it's all ability and expertise. Trust me more ability than ability, with respect to all the other things careful discipline brings about promising results, or possibly great.

Everything And Nothing - A Deeper Dive
In life, we constantly come across situations and experiences that leave us to wonder about a lot of things it has to offer. Whether those points in time leave a positive or negative impact on our overall morality and outlook on life, they leave us feeling (or wanting to feel) everything, nothing, or even both. From the disappointing burden of failure, the blissful highs that short-term pleasure brings, and the constant pressure to keep pushing and doing what is deemed to be the right thing, "Everything And Nothing" is a concept album based on the portrayal of a person, an artist, and a creator who seeks nothing but improvement, despite any of the thoughts that are contested on a daily basis.
