Shadow Moses by Bring Me The Horizon

I am going to take a different approach; I love talking about the awakening of one's soul into one's true reality but, storytelling does not always grab everyone's attention, and factual information is a bore to those who do not understand. But I have an idea on what does grab an audience's attention, Music and Subliminal messages. This is a review of the song Shadow Moses by Bring Me the Horizon, from the Album Sempiternal that was released April 1, 2013. The album genre is Pop/Rock and the type of style of the album is Metalcore; Heavy Metal, Alternative/Indie Rock. I choose this song because of the popularity within my generation and generations before me and after me from the style and the band itself. I had also chosen this specific song from the album because of its connection to the Dark Knight of one's soul. For every individual their experience of the awakening to their truth of soul is unique and intimate, and every single one of us reach a point of the dark knight of the soul, the true revelation of the "darkest parts" of our soul and realizing the light through that darkness. Once the light is found, many people go and be in life with careers, and lifestyle choices with their soul in alignment within themselves for the rest of their lives. This was deemed as taboo or a form of conspiracy from the 80's to late 2000's to talk about it in its purest form, so many artists had to become creative and use subliminal messages to reach the unconscious mind of many people around the world, causing them to wait patiently for this time in our lives where it is now well known and accepted by many. Even though it is still a matter of perspective and there are others who do not see this as importance or do not grasp the idea of the fully, it is something beautiful to witness within our era were the masses finally awaken.

- What Is a Subliminal Message?

A subliminal message is an underlining message hidden in plain sight through different forms of media, entertainment, books, etc. Textbook definition of a subliminal message is "an stimuli, affirmation or message either auditory or visual presented below the normal limits of human auditory or visual perception"(Dobson, 2022). This means that the conscious part of one's mind will not fully grasp the understanding of the message from the auditory or visual presented to the human. Unlike the conscious mind, the unconscious mind or deeper mind, grasp the subliminal message and perceives the meaning within the message without any form of resistance to its understanding from that auditory or visual perception. Now for the awaken, or group with already a uncosnsious understanding to the life hidden from the masses, they are capable of spotting these messages with their conscious mind, they may not at first understand it's meaning but it gets their minds to start questioning on what is real and what is the illusion of life. For many who are asleep or in denial, seeing or hearing the awaken or partly awaken group question the meaning behind the entertainment can be seen as annoying or overanalyzing everything. There is nothing wrong with both groups, they are just the chosen few who are meant to be somewhat awake or already awakening to the truth at a "faster" rate than those who are asleep or in denial. One thing to remember is that many of us are on a special course of action into our awakening so not one person has the same process, but it will have all individuals be led to the one ending of our collective consciousness. The chorus itself, beautifully put, very simple yet powerful. Interpreting the understanding of the chorus is just an honor for me to give. This repeated chorus with just two sentences gives the listener the realization of how we as humanity live our life in a slumber. We all sit here and beg for death because of the negative patterns that we see in this life, forgetting to see beauty in the positive patterns of our lives, causing us to literally be stuck in places we have no joy in. Imagine, begging for the time to see the creator because of traumas, dead end jobs that treats us more like slaves than a being, marriages that brings us no meaning to our hearts just because of responsibility not of love, friendships that only take space of our own loneliness of ego not of our heart of soul. Of course, we feel like life has no meaning but death, we do not give it meaning because of how we live in it. SUCH POWER TO THESE WORDS. When most of us come to this realization of how sad we have made our own lives, then it starts to lead us to the wanting and knowing of a life different from what we know, causing the initiation of ones turning point one's awakening to the Dark knight of the soul. In the beginning of the music video above it shows this very realization and how the lead singer had to walk alone through the darkest parts with only an emergency torch, a representation of our soul's light, guiding us to find the end.

This verse seems so dark to what life is, honestly, that is the point. Bring me the horizon did a beautiful job in explaining the process of humans pushing down their own feelings for the sake of not feeling anything, in doing so we push down our true nature of who we beings are truly, "I Am as I Am". Yet, stubbornness is a pride that many withhold and still try to drown that knowing of who we are, believing that those feelings of desire to be something true will eventually go away, believing that the ego of what was created by society is our true nature. It is a cycle we continuously go through, believing that the feeling is destroyed because we have not face it, but energy can never be destroyed only created, and that is exactly what our true nature is pure energy of creation, "I Am, as I Am". This causes an internal battle between our soul and ego that has been going on for lifetimes within our race, causing one to feel disoriented and lost in the dark, which was how it was represented in the above music video, throughout the entire video it has this amazing effect of feeling like you cannot see straight from the fast-paced movement of the camera, making you feel a bit drowsy which is exactly how this part of the Dark Knight feels at times.

I touched based on this on the previous paragraph, but this where the cycle of continued suffering based on each individual human's decision of not facing what the truth is towards our own hearts of creation. But that is the thing, no matter how much you run, you will still return to remember who it is that you are truly. After all this is a group effort in awakening to our true energetic beings. Remember, energy never dies, and the beautiful thing is we were created by energy of love, we are but pure love energy. Just because we have meat suits to show we are alive, what makes you think we can truly die? Now that is a rabbit hole worth following.

Ladies and gentlemen, it's the moment of truth

Ladies and gentlemen yes, yes and yes. It is the moment of truth. First of all, they are so bold to give the truth in such a way that you personally, probably, would not have even given it a second look to see what they mean. Subliminal messages folks. Now, you are probably asking yourselves "What the heck are you even talking about?" and I am very delighted to explain, but to answer your question I would have to give you some background information first. The definition of Sempiternal is "a never-ending duration: Eternal"(Mirriam-webster 2022). This is important to know since it adds an understanding to the reader or listener why it is that he asks the question "would we ever see the end?". We as a race has repeated this cycle of not awakening or accepting our true power of eternal energy for many cycles. Now it is time to wake up from the deepest depth of our egos, kill that ego or what is known as "Ego death" or acceptance of the "dark knight of the soul" to recollect all of the hidden truth we had hidden for ourselves and unite to help the entire collective consciousness awaken from their 3-dimensional illusions of human flesh and raise our entire vibrational frequency into one energy, one form of consciousness, one love and that ladies and gentleman is the truth.

The ending of this song just re-alliterates the meaning of continued cycle of negative patterns keeping us from our own true nature of light beings of pure co-creation of love. We are human beings; we are not meant to be working 9-5 jobs that do not bring our heart into the fore front of our lives. We are not mean to love with our minds but see true love within our hearts. We are energetic beings chosen to bring forth creation of love within our existence of continuum.
