“Winterlude” is not quite a song about winter but I wanted to include it because of the title. It is a satirical and humorous love song about a girl named Winterlude. It is the creation on American singer and songwriter Bob Dylan. The song was featured in The Comic Strip’s 1998 special “Four Men in a Car”. It is featured on Dylan’s album New Morning.
“Winter World of Love” is a song that was recorded by British singer Engelbert Humperdinck. It was featured on his eponymous album and as a single in 1969. The song became an international hit and charted on the UK Singles, Billboard Hot 100, and Billboard Easy Listening charts.
"When the Snow Is on the Roses” is a song that originally became an adult contemporary hit for American singer and actor Ed Ames. A popular version was recorded in 1972 by American country singer and songwriter Sonny James. It became a number one country hit and also charted on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
“A Hazy Shade of Winter” is a song that was originally recorded by the American music duo Simon & Garfunkel in 1966 and is featured on their album Bookends, The song charted on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. A popular cover version was recorded in 1987 by the American pop/rock band The Bangles. Their version was featured on the soundtrack of the film “Less Than Zero”.
“Cold” is a song that was recorded by the Scottish singer and songwriter Annie Lennox. It was released as the fourth single from her 1992 album Diva. The single was released as a series of three separate CD singles titled Cold, Colder, and Coldest.
“Snowbound” is a song that was recorded by the English rock band Genesis. It is featured on their 1978 album And Then There Were Three. Band members Collins and Rutherford describe this as a romantic song. The lyrics tell of a man wearing a snowman outfit to hide from people, but then becomes paranoid and cannot get out of the outfit.
“Winterlong” is a song that was recorded by the Canadian-American musician Neil Young. It is featured on his 1977 compilation album Decade. The album contains songs recorded by Young between 1966 and 1976. In 1986 the album was certified Platinum by the RIAA.
“Sometimes in Winter” is a song that was recorded by the American rock band Blood, Sweat, & Tears. It is featured on their album Blood, Sweat, & Tears. The album received the Grammy Award for Album of the Year.
“Wintertime Love” is a song that was recorded by the American rock band The Doors. It is featured on their 1968 album Waiting for the Sun. This album also includes their number-one single “Hello I Love You”.
“Cold as Ice” is a song that was recorded by the British-American rock band Foreigner. It is featured on their eponymous debut album. The song was written by Lou Gramm and Mick Jones. The song charted on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The song became a popular hit for Foreigner.
“Baby It’s Cold Outside” is a song that was written by Fran Loesser in 1944. It was featured in the 1949 film “Neptune’s Daughter”. The song won the Academy Award for Best Original Song. It has been sung in many different versions but one of the most popular versions was recorded by American singer and actor Frank Sinatra.
