The single charted on both the Billboard Hot 100 and Cash Box charts. The song was the fifth of a record-tying seven Top 10 hit singles released from the album Born in the USA.

“Walking on Sunshine” is a song that was written by Kimberley Rew for the British rock band Katrina and the Waves. It is featured on their 1983 album of the same name. It became the band’s first American Top 40 hit and their biggest success in the UK.
