
Gaynor Sullivan was born on June 8, 1951, and became known professionally as Bonnie Tyler. She is a Welsh singer known for her distinctive raspy voice. She gained popularity with the release of her 1977 album, The World Starts Tonight. Her biggest hit is “Total Eclipse of the Heart.” In 2022 she was awarded an MBE (Member of the Order of the British Empire) in the Queen’s Birthday Honors for services to music. These are some of the top songs recorded by the singer. She released her third live album, In Berlin, in 2024.
“Against the Wind” was recorded by Tyler in 1991 and is featured on her album Bitterblue. The song was written by Dieter Bohlen and is the second single from the album. It is a soft pop rock ballad.
