Can you Give it All Away?: Ye’s Plan to be ‘Homeless’

The artist searches for meaning in electing to be real estate deprived

In an effort to undermine and undercut the nature of capitalism, the only social system of justice, hip hop artist Ye plans to be “homeless.” Similar to centibillionaire, and currently the wealthiest person on the planet, Elon Musk, Ye wishes to own no residential properties. He seeks to convert his mansions into churches. As this is in line with what he wants to do with his money, it is respectable but not necessarily admirable.

If Ye really wanted to globetrot and claim that he could stay in “every single city, every single country” without any qualms about what goes on at his former homes, that’s his business.

What should not be his business is vilifying capitalism for people who are not willing or able to produce to support their own lives. Who will pay for the basic needs of life in these “orphanages” if not the rapper? Ye said, “We are under capitalist rule, and it’s killing us. It’s time to change that.”

He compares his idea to artist communes, and isn’t that great. Places where children are raised by a village rather than committed, rationally selfish individual parents, or even one. Fights over “property” that no one owns run rampant. Communes represent the worst in mankind, and Ye knows it.

If he actually considers literal communism to be virtuous, he should give away all his Louis Vuitton and Balenciaga connections, and the rights to his music, Yeezy fashion line, and other properties. If he really wants to be selfless and “noble,” he should self-immolate and flog himself, begging for the mercy of a nonexistent God.

Ye has always been teeter-tottering and toying with the idea of pushing boundaries since he found fame and wealth. He credits Yasiim Bey for inspiring him to change his name and to become an international traveler, seeking shelter and comforts from houses of haute couture.

With this new excursion into incomplete selflessness, he should be wise enough to see through the lies about capitalism.

The altruism he plans to display will only be damned because it is a lie. No one can be absolutely selfless, not even the saints or Jesus of Nazareth.

What the rapper/producer/designer has ready for his main deal is to continue to spread the evils of self-sacrifice. A well-known Christian, the “Lord Jesus” artist has within him the capacity to let the individuals know the economic might of being a billionaire in America.

For all his many virtues on the mic and ability to earn a coin, what he plans to do is against what he has done in his more than two decades in the music industry. The whole point is to get money in large amounts until it’s hard to count. Palatial mansions and land in Wyoming which he sold, all became the trappings of a talented person who can sell.

Even through his marital problems and apparent divorce from Kim Kardashian, his bipolar diagnosis, and his life as a megastar and innovator, he still has no clue how to navigate the business world, despite his billions.

When he finally comes to realize he has erred morally with this commune idea, it may be too late. He at least has a shred of dignity and honor with the idea he can just skip over to another state or nation and be able to live there. This is his last vestige of proper selfishness.

To take life seriously and the fundamentals of capitalism, which allowed Ye to be a billionaire, this man would have to be introduced to Ayn Rand. Her philosophy upheld capitalism as the most beneficent system of all time. It is consistent because it is about trading virtues. Ye’s system of values still includes himself, making him a narcissist instead of an egoist who has yet to discover the truth.

In order for him and others like him to realize he’s only living a quarter of a selfish life, Ye and others would have to study, apply, and integrate the principles of Objectivism. Once this philosophy is involved in Ye, he just might reconsider his living arrangement.
