WHAT WAS VOX HUMANA?
My music question of the year so far is, "Why wasn't Vox Humana a bigger deal than it was 40 years ago? This write-up just missed the 40th anniversary of Kenny Loggins' Vox Humana album, which was released, March 15, 1985. Rolling Stone Magazine's Don Shewey described it as, "... some of the most elegant hightech rhythm tracks to ever come out of Los Angeles."

Duck Tales
Seven days ago, Oregon's Aaliyah McCormick crossed the finish line during the 60-meter hurdles in symbolic fashion. At the Big Ten Indoor Championships on March 1, in Indianapolis, Indiana, McCormick edged out defending 60-meter hurdles champion Aasia Laurencin of Michigan 7.963 to 7.968 in a photo finish. The two 2024 First-Team All-Americans waited with bated breath to see who the actual winner was as it wasn't clear after they finished the race.

Off they go, screw the snow
It's a cold, 24-degree morning in Louisville, Kentucky, with the threat of a snow storm on the way by noon. Despite the unpleasant conditions outdoors, the warmth of speed and athletic competition will bring delight as the 30th Rod McCravy Invitational, hosted by the University of Kentucky, will occur throughout the afternoon into the evening.
