Bonnie & Clyde: Ride and Die
Prelude I have always been drawn to Bonnie Parker, in fact, I have often joked that I am her reincarnation, that I am paying in this life for her sins. Maybe. Or maybe it is the romanticized media views of who they were that have me drawn to her. However much I thought I knew about them prior to writing this proved to me that the world had tainted their story to match an agenda that suited them. I imagine I could research them for years and still not fully understand all that I need to understand about them. I assure you, even the best research in the world will not account for everything as only Bonnie and Clyde themselves would know the fullest of their story, however, I have given you a solid effort.

I will not hurt you
It was a typical October day. Halloween decorations have gone up all over the neighborhood. Maybe this year I could get my son to go trick or treating, I thought. My son and I piled into the car to go to the grocery store. The one outing he would go with me on without too many anxiety issues. It was going to be a wonderful day. I had plans to buy a pumpkin for each of us and let him win in a pumpkin carving contest, and other festive weekend plans. Just my son and myself. Seemed weird, yet blissful to think. It was my first weekend off work, and being single in our new home. Having escaped an abusive relationship a few months back. I finally felt free even though I had guilt over my son having to see all that happened; I still blamed myself for his condition. I still hated myself for what he endured.

Fruit Lion
When I was a child, I was a little bit shy. So in 6th grade, I met my best friend Shelly. We hit it off right away and I would stay at her house as often as I could, even if my mom did not know I was going to. I would sneak on her bus and Id go to her house. While at her house, we would prank call people. Of course, we would prank call our mutual crush… Chad. He had blondish brown hair, freckles, and blue eyes. We thought he was a “total babe” and we also thought he was completely clueless that we liked him. I do not know why we thought we could hide it that well when we giggled about him all the time or thought we were so slick using our makeup mirrors to admire him while never actually applying makeup. Those were the days with phones with long cords that you end up getting tangled into if the call was a particularly good one. They did not have caller id unless you were the real wealthy at that time, and everyone had your phone number if they had a phone book.
