Renaissance Festival War Stories Sept 18/19, 2021
Saturday Morning, early, the riddle booth starts fairly slow. People walk by and no one stops for almost an hour to riddle. During that time a couple is walking and stops to take a selfie near us. I stop them and offer to take their picture. Of course, I flip the camera and take a selfie first, but that was not the point. I take several nice framed up pictures for them. I get the iron dragon in the background, no people walking in the background, and say things to make them laugh to get genuine smiles. They are grateful and thankful for the pictures, and the fact I took the time to get a variety. They are in regular clothes, then they tell me, today is their 31st wedding anniversary, and they are former Renaissance Fest workers themselves. They worked at Jacob's Ladder in their younger years. I was so happy to start their day on a positive note.

It Should Have Been The Deer!
We were fourteen years old. Rachael, Mike, and myself were just six or seven weeks into our freshman year of high school. How the three of us ended up hanging out that day at my house, I do not recall. We were better friends the previous couple years, and this was probably the last time the three of us ever hung out together. We all had friends within our larger friend group we were individually closer with besides each other.

Saturday: Unofficial PRIDE Day. I made a facebook event for it months ago and the whole thing started after MNRF had done a PRIDE day in the past, but none made this year. So many flags, shops, and people taking part in support of one another in the spirit of love and PRIDE. It warms me inside and out.

Renaissance Festival War Stories Aug 21/22, 2021
Aug 21/22, 2021 It's been 692 days since closing cannon in 2019. I am so excited. It's Christmas morning. I have collected 125 four-leafed clovers this spring and summer. I have around 70-80 or so left to give away as fest favors. It was my husband's idea to do so. I wasn't sure how to determine how or who would receive them.

Tales of Bette: Mark's Perspective, Halloween Senior Year
Friday October 31, 2003 The bell rang at the end of photography class sixth hour. Mark timed his walk to the door to get there at the same time as Bette. "All black clothes. Is that a Halloween thing?" Or a Wednesday Addams thing?

Tales of Bette: Reunited 2020 Part 3
Continued from part 2... Bette sees more... Bette and Mark started to get up out of bed. She sat on the side of the bed, leaned over, grabbed her panties off the floor and whipped her head up. "Oh! Head rush." She wobbled where she sat then fell back playfully. She looked at him standing there pulling on his underwear; from her perspective, he was upside-down. "I haven't seen such a handsome sight in so long, I don't know if I can pull myself together enough to get to brunch."

Annia Ready
For several nights, Annia and Nathan continued their routine. They adjourned themselves to their rooms and changed into their pajamas and robes. Nathan had made his way to the study first that evening. He removed his prosthetic legs at his desk and moved across the floor to the fireplace. By the time Annia arrived, the room was warm with the heat from the hearth. She found herself loosening her robe until a black strip of her night gown shown down her front and she let down her hair before she sat.

Tales of Bette: Do something...Not Him (Abridged)
Post-9/11 news became exhausting: the new way of life. This was the fall of the Berlin Wall, the Kennedy Assassination, The Pearl Harbor of Bette's generation. Bette wanted to do something. Morning announcements mentioned the school paper needed people to contribute. It wasn't much for being 15, in the grand scheme to help, but something.

Tales of Bette: Tuesday, Wednesday, Mark's Day (Abridged)
The full version Bette was excited for Winter Spirit Week. Tuesday's costume day was Haunted Horror, dressing as Wednesday Addams. She wore a grey button up shirt with her black scoop-neck shirt over it. She wore a black skirt that went to her mid-thigh, black tights, and black Mary Jane shoes. She had pale skin, but powdered herself extra pale, wore black eyeliner, mascara, burgundy lipstick and nail polish. She wore a necklace with a little green bottle pendant that looked like poison. For her crowning glory: two braids along the side of her head. Mark would go wild for her look. He always had a thing for Wednesday Addams. They were 18 and having sex the last couple weeks, there was no telling how he would react.
