Earth
Mulch muddy, roots raw, Wet through with fresh, frigid rain, Deep exquisite earth. A/N: I never thought I would write a haiku-Ode to mud, but here we are! In England, we complain a whole-heck-of-a-lot about mud - sticking in our shoes, blocking our trails, and messing up our carpets. But I think it deserves some more love! Mud is the earth stretching and changing into new valleys and streams! Beautiful! #lovemud #thisisatangent #helpmeitis4am -TWW

Giving
I would not ask you to pluck a single feather from your wings for me, But Heaven knows, I cannot fly anymore. A/N: Does this count as sad poetry? I was sad when I wrote it - and sat in a nature reserve. Some sort of gloomy, melancholic, poet spirit must have possessed me! I hope you're all having a wonderful time where you are! I am on holiday now, and looking forward to taking some time to catch up on some of the work from my fellow Vocal writers! -TWW

The Bird Nest. Top Story - May 2024.
Downy tufts puff out, Warmth inside a house of hair, Drowsiness abounds. A/N: I sometimes imagine what it would be like to sleep in a bird nest, provided I can be bird-sized in the fantasy of course. I think it would be cosy! More longer stories to come! -TWW

Melancholy
There’s a bird outside, Its wings look torn to gold leaf, The wind blows again. A/N: What is your interpretation of this haiku? I had an idea when writing it, but upon review, I can see it could have many meanings! What does it mean to you? Also quick note - I am thinking of bringing back 'See These Three' (where I list my top 3 reads for a period of time) but perhaps as a bi-monthly event on my account. In articles separate from my stories/poems. What do you think?
