They Hear Everything
When everything is falling apart,
Those gone to war against their love,
Forget about little ears,
Harsh, cruel, criticism,
Spat between clenched teeth,
Little ears hear,
Every word,
Swords down,
Please?
A/N: I thought it was about time I got back involved with the Vocal challenges!
I wrote this as an alternate perspective to the breakup prompt. Instead of writing from the perspective of the people breaking up, I wrote from the perspective of a child, or perhaps a pet. I was interested in the concept of 'little ears' that hear so much sadness and anger from adults when a breakup is nigh. And how their dearest wish, is to just get along again <3
I hope you 'enjoyed' this perspective, and remember the little ears who are listening!

Yes, children suffer a lot when their parents breakup, get separated or get divorced. As for pets, they would never understand why the person isn't around anymore. They might feel abandoned

Oh, this was so incredibly powerful. I used to work and volunteer around a lot of small children, and so many of them were from broken homes and often you could hear it in the things they'd say or the way they behaved. Fantastic piece to come back with :)
