Camp NaNoWriMo Arrives...
So April first is finally here and you know what that means, or maybe you don't…, but it’s finally time for my first attempt at Camp NaNoWriMo. Camp NaNoWriMo is this cute little writing challenge that gives writers a chance to attempt writing a large amount of words in a short time. I believe you can put the word count to whatever you want but keeping with the usual NaNoWriMo goal I have opted for 50,000 words. I need to write 1667 a day to reach the goal by the end of April but this year I am doing it a little differently.

Why I Love Using TikTok
TikTok is a very fun app that I use literally every single day. I am either posting my own TikToks, sending my friends videos that I thought were hilarious or just mindlessly scrolling for hours on end. I regularly find myself getting caught up and all of a sudden I’ve been on TikTok for hours and it’s dark outside. But I love it.

3 Ways I Deal With Loss of Motivation
I find myself constantly losing my motivation for writing due to many reasons. These would include burn out from my job, my mental health, illness and writer's block, to name a few. Writing a book is a very hard task to stick to, especially when you are into the editing process.

I Had The Best Birthday Ever
So having a birthday only four days before Christmas has always been a sore spot for me, yes I know there are bigger things to worry about in the world but never getting a day to be celebrated for ageing was upsetting. I was always told that you can’t do anything that close to Christmas, that no one could come because they were too sick, that it was too expensive. I was typically told that I could just choose one of the Christmas presents from under the tree and open it for my birthday instead.

Merry Christmas
So this Christmas was a little bit different than my usual Christmas day with my family. We actually celebrated with our yearly dinner on the 19th of December, celebrating Christmas before my birthday was a little strange for me. But regardless the dinner was spectacular as always, my mother was a chef back when we lived in London and she was in the army so her cooking is always spectacular. We did however wait until December 25th to open our present together.

Nobody likes You When You’re Twenty-Three
So in less than a week I will finally be turning twenty four and I have decided to do a couple of things before that day. I want to have my house absolutely spotless beforehand so I have been tidying away at my house for the last few days, trying to make everything perfect. This is to try and get myself into a nice clear headspace before I begin to focus on chapter 24 of my story.

Not To Be Dramatic or Anything…
So I’ve had my fair share of sickness in my 23 (very nearly 24) years of being alive but up until a few years ago I thought my immune system was just too good at beating illnesses. I used to be the type of person that could wake up with a cold in the morning and go to bed that night feeling perfectly fine.

NaNoWriMo 2023 Early Prep
So last year I took part in NaNoWriMo 2022 where I successfully wrote 50,000 words in November, 28 days to be exact. This allowed me to get a beautiful start to my first ever manuscript, however reading it back recently to prepare for this year's NaNoWriMo I realised that it needs a lot of work. So I’ve decided to start early on my prep so that I have a very good base to write my next 50,000 words on my WIP.

November Draws Ever Closer
I know that even after November 2022 my story is still going to be a rough nightmare of a draft of my first story. I have been reading through what I have so far and this is taking a while for me because I regularly pause to take notes and simply just cringe at the thought that I wrote these words in that order.

Do You Ever Fell Like A Song is Wrote Just For You?
So I recently came across this song by Tate McRae, who is my favourite artist right now, called That Way and I just feel like it was written for me. Every single lyric speaks to me about a situation that I just got out of where me and a boy were seeing each other for over a year but never made it official, much to my disappointment.
