Dating in the 21st Century

Dating in the 21st Century is quite interesting to say the least, not having an adequate understanding of the lingo can definitely prove determintal to oneself. Self doubt and insecurities will stumble some from venturing out into this society because of fear of embarrassing oneself. Myself a chocolate girl living in a big city, where EY SHAWWTY is a normal call, makes stepping out, a bit more frightening. Learning to step out of my comfort zone and date outside my race is something I’ve also, found quite challenging. In this day and age, we live amongst a creative mixture of people. This is definitely no longer our Grandmother/GrandFather ways of dating! Everything has changed and it’s important to be able to adapt to the changes around us. Myself brought up with a Southern background. I have always been taught that a man is suppose to approach the woman, take her out on dates and be the one to foot the bill for the activities decided on attending for the night.
