Evie's Adventure
Little Evie yanked firmly on the straps which secured her to the chair. Her voice was preceded by a crackle of static as she looked eagerly to the co-pilot seated beside her. Hank, the platypus, nervously glanced at her from beneath the cover of his helmet.

INHERITANCE Walter sighed with disdain as he opened the door to his father's house. The musty smell and clutter strewn about the old Victorian home served as the final tribute to the old man's legacy. The dust lay like a delicate sheet over all the books, empty glasses, and unopened mail that covered nearly every surface of the home.

Fragmented Reality
Every night at midnight, the purple clouds came out to dance with the blushing sky. Gerald watched them emerge just as they always did, and he casually took a sip of his coffee. It was the same thing every night, but he had become so accustomed to it that the very sight of it had lost its luster. He was immune to its draw and instead, he found himself counting down the days until he could return home again.
