Gorkha Durbar
The Gorkha Durbar Located in the Gorkha District of Nepal is a historical landmark built in 17th century by Ram Shah. It is 140 km far from Kathmandu and 24 km north of Abu Khaireni within Kathmandu and Pokhara highway. The Durbar is built on the top of hill at a altitude of about 1000 meter. This Durbar is an hour walk from the downtown Gorkha Bazaar. The Durbar is the birthplace of the Late King Prithivi Narayan Shah (1723) who was born in the Dhuni Pari, which is a part of Durbar and he started unification of Nepal from there in 1801 by attracting on Nuwakot.
