Reason First: Can Morality Save the City of Wilmington, Delaware?
Rounds flew once again in the streets of Wilmington, Delaware. A 25-year-old man received medical attention based on his bullet wounds. It is no secret that Wilmington is a tiny hotbed compared to Philadelphia and New York City for these types of cases. It barely registers on the map as a blip. But the just over 70,000 residents have either grown weary or apathetic to the news of yet another shooting in the 21 incidents which have occurred already in 2020.

Reason First: Delaware Male Robs Three, Steals Spirit form Self
The madness continues. A man committed an armed robbery of two people and stole their car at gunpoint in Lincoln, Delaware. Where is the rationality? Where is the selfishness? If the suspect had thought through his actions and considered his own short-term and long-term self-interest, then he would’ve never decided to go against the letter of the law an morality.

Reason First: Dover, Delaware Male Commits Murder, Destroys Own Mind
A Dover, Delaware man has been charged with first degree murder of his child’s mother. A second look at that sentence may not hold enough information but it says a great deal. For a murder in the first degree, that could mean a minimum of twenty-five years in prison or life in Delaware. The irrationalism involved in the case is evident. Emotion before thought led this man to take this woman from her child and other children under her care.

For the Love of Life
When I first discovered journalist, novelist and now podcaster Touré on MTV2, I became an instant supporter. I admired his thorough work ethic and ability to never allow his subjects to railroad him. His questions penetrated without him pestering. He injected into his narrative a sense that he could cajole an answer out of a singer, rapper, race car driver, or tennis player with eloquence and aplomb. All the while, he separated the figure from their story in order to avoid subjectivity.

Reason First: Did Chief Keef Deserve to be Arrested?
When rappers travel outside of the United States, things can get dicey. Snoop Dogg, for instance, was for a time banned from Heathrow Airport in London. The ban has since been lifted. Now, with Chief Keef’s cuffs locked on wrists in Mexico, it appears that the hip hop star has seen the wheels of justice spin out of his favor.

Reason First: Is A-Wax the Bay Area Killer?
The coronavirus may be the top story for the coming days and weeks, but that disease shouldn’t overshadow murder cases. Bay Area rapper A-Wax has been charged with homicide for a case that allegedly, and strangely, dates back twenty years ago. Deputy district attorney Jen Tompkins dispelled this as a fallacy and said that the crime took place recently. As investigators prepare an airtight case, A-Wax has been taken into custody where authorities found firearms and plenty of ammunition. This all stemmed from a weapons charge that seems to be unrelated to the homicide.

America the Greatest: How this nation is the most virtuous country in human history
Take a walk down any street in America. See the weeds growing up from abandoned factories. The twisting green shoots that speckle the landscape of the country. Focus on the noose hanging from the tree. Look at the rats and roaches in the apartments. Notice the homeless people in tents and the camps at the border. Peer at the mass shootings and the drug deals gone bad. Smell the meth labs emitting noxious fumes. Hear the opioid capsules spill and bottles sprawled out on the floor next to a lifeless body. Taste the smoke from the car wreck from an alcoholic that claims the lives of everyone but the drunkard. Peep the cyber hackers preparing to unsettle the fabric of the Internet. Feast your mind’s eye on the politicians who sneer and snicker and bicker at each other.

Reason First: Should Kodak Black Start Snitching?
At the prime of their lives, with women, riches and all the spoils that go along with shining in the rap game, why do rappers sacrifice all of that over poor decision making? In the case of Kodak Black who is serving close to four years in prison already, he may find himself behind the wall for an additional three years stemming from a gun charge.

Reason First: The Dealer Mentality
The soul of a dealer still lives in Kevin Chiles. The once kingpin now owner of the “Original Street Bible” Don Diva magazine, Chiles has positioned himself as a legitimate boss. That wasn’t always the case. Chiles sold drugs on the streets of New York City and other locales during what he refers to as the “Crack Era.” What is so frustrating, sad, and bewildering is the fact that he made millions of dollars in the street but it stemmed from trading poison. That poison should be legal and nontaxable across the board but narcotics are a scourge nonetheless. Chiles stands as a man who lived through it and can tell tales about his stint in the drug game.

Reason First: Is Target Practice Worth Going to Prison?
Life is but a series of choices. These decisions we make ought to be based on logic and reason and experienced through our emotions. Sometimes we think about what we do. At other times, we fail at that effort.

Reason First: Will Aljermiah “Nuke” Mack’s Appeal be Approved?
Racketeering and drug trafficking in and of themselves should (get this) not be illegal. At least the drug dealing. But if such activities lead to burglaries, rape, murder or other crimes that violate individual rights, then they should be separated. This segregation of different types of “crimes” is crucial to pinpoint what is legal but immoral and what is against the law and also immoral.

Reason First: Why did the Police Run Down on Boosie?
What did Boosie do that warranted having his hands in the silver bracelets of the law? No guns or weed or other substances made their way onto his person. So, why did police officers need to momentarily restrict some of his movements?
