The Queen
Jenna's small-town life had always been simple. She and her best friend, Hannah, were about to graduate high school and had plans to go to the same college the following fall. Life had always been simple, although a little strange for Jenna. She never quite felt like she fit in because she wasn't interested in the same things as other kids her age. When most of her classmates could be found at school dances and sporting events, she and Hannah were in the woods that separated their houses foraging for different plants and stones. One day after a frightening encounter in the woods, everything changed. No longer the girl from small-town Rosemont, Maryland, Jenna was now a part of something bigger. Forced to stop thinking about what college she and Hannah would be going to later this year, Jenna is taught about her true purpose and her past by a boy named Ryder. He is strange and beautiful, and somehow very familiar. Ryder tells Jenna that she must return back to her true home to wage war against his, and now her, enemy to protect the human race she grew up a part of. Will Jenna have the strength to leave everything she knows behind, or will she watch the impending evil strip away everyone and everything she loves? The Queen - Sasha Sparks

What's Your Why 2.0
This is an older post from my blog, onecreativeschatter.com. It has been coming up in my thoughts a lot again, so I thought I'd reshare it. Lately, I've been struggling again with wanting to finish school. 2020 has taken a huge toll on everyone, and my story is no different. After driving an Uber passenger yesterday, I was encouraged to keep going. I'm currently re-evaluating my "why"... read on to get some inspiration if you're struggling.

Introductions Please
Hey everyone! What can I say? I'm the new kid on the block and hoping to make it big, just like everyone else. But Sasha, what sets you apart? Well, there are a few things actually. So, I grew up in a very small town in northern Maryland. I spent 22 years in the state before moving cross-country for a relationship (that ultimately would fall apart) in Colorado. I learned a lot about myself during the relationship because I found someone who was hurting themselves and created a toxic space that I'd eventually see and walk away from. When that six-year relationship ended, that's when I started to flourish.
