Thinking about Abundance
Here I am in front for my keyboard again, relaxing my mind into a spot that’s becoming more comfortable. Its the space that allows me to “channel” my thoughts into words. That’s the odd thing about our meditations, we learn and practice techniques that all sort of leads to the same arenas.

Missing Out
Do you ever think about how much you would miss out on if everything was done for you? Regardless of whether or not your economics can afford to have absolutely EVERYTHING done for you, while it is nice to have convenience, or to be able to afford it, but how much is too much?

RUPTURE 2121
I pictured this more as being a Graphic Novel but I have absolutely no talent for drawing. I feel like it's a good story and I can see the pieces so clearly in my mind but have no other avenue to get them out of my head other than words. Typing out all the excruciating details in the hopes that I can paint the same picture in your mind with my words.

Open: Time
To start things off and my friends can attest to this, I HATE the saying, “Time is Money”. Not only is it the go to cliché for capitalism, regardless of your feelings on our system of commerce (and governance, really), it really hasn’t worked out very well for the lion’s share of us, but I’m not here to complain ab out being poor, what I really want to talk about is Time. Not only do I not care for that saying because it undermines a lot of my personal beliefs, but rather I feel it is logically incorrect. Now I say this is an opinion and to be taken as such, but really the “math” works out. Follow me on this.

Open: Social Interaction
So being social, definitely not an easy task, especially these days, but I’m not here to bog you down with the details on the COVID that you already know. Today I wanted to simply riff about being social in general. I feel it’s important to both mental and physical health, and unless you’re a complete hermit (no judgements) you do need that shit. I think that’s been made more apparent by our current situation now more than it ever has been, and dare I say it, in history. A bold claim I’m sure, but I don’t think I’m too far off the mark.

Open: Choices
I can honestly say at this stage in my life I don’t have the goal of being the end all be all in anything in particular. I no longer desire to be the best at something. As a matter of fact my M.O. is usually to excited about something, like so many hobbies I’ve had over the years that I ran hard for a few months and lost interest. Open: Trying to Be More Open
Half of the time I have no idea what I’m doing, or more simply lose my place when I’m trying to get things done. It’s also very funny to me that words come so easily to me when I’m having a conversation but not when I’m trying to get an idea out on paper…. Or into the world for that matters.

Open: Work
Work, or what I’ve done with most of my life. Not a complaint, I live in California and shit’s not getting any cheaper around here. Let’s just sy to live here is to know many people who are working more than one job to get by. I would say now that I’m trying to work for myself I have as many as 5 jobs at any given time, but not all at once, not anymore at least.

Open: Truth
Obviously this has become a sore subject in recent days, which is very outlandish to my mind, but the Truth. Or rather what is is or isn’t. I guess I’ll start with a thought that I think a lot of people are missing, as evidenced by the endless flurries of flame wars abound on the internet these days. I feel like we miss that there are differences between your own personal truths and agreed upon truth. I know that seems an over simplification, but I really want to drill down on those 2 buckets.

Here's To You
Here's to those of us who work not one but multiple jobs to make ends meet. We're not mad at it, it's what we have to do to well..... Live. Those of us who work a decent day job, but still have a gig job driving people to their destinations safely or simply deliver our food when we're just too tired or frankly lazy to cook today.
