The StoryJealous Heaven
Once upon a time there lived in the beautiful land of Kerala a wise and benevolent king named Maveli. His reign was known for the prosperity, harmony and happiness that radiated from his people. The state of satisfaction was so deep that it reached the heavens, where Indra, the king of gods, was jealous of the success of King Maveli. Motivated by jealousy, Indra cleverly planned to destroy the Maveli kingdom and regain the happiness he believed to be in heaven, so he understood the wisdom and fate that would describe Maveli and his people.
