Was This a Personality Mismatch or Something Much Darker?- Part 4
“But you have paid for a month. Are you going to ask for a refund? Those things get messy.” I guess I have to decide between money and my happiness. This place feels like the haunted house of Bly Manor!” Amy, aren’t you exaggerating? Anyway, you aren’t happy, that needs to be fixed.” “I’ll figure it out.” With that, the call ended.

The Awesome Playlist That Got Me Through 2020
I am done flogging how the year 2020 came and threw us off balance. I'll rather focus on one of the awesome things that made it worthwhile; music! Music provided an escape from the harsh realities around us. Like many of us, I spent more time at home than anywhere else. This had its fallouts including getting creative. In the spirit of creativity, I forged a new playlist.

Once Upon a Night at Downtown Toronto
I can’t explain what happened to me that night. I had left my place of volunteer a bit later than usual. II made my way back to the bus stop. Weeks before this, I took the tube, and one time, I walked to and fro. I got to the bus stop and saw that the next bus would not be due for one hour so I left. I intended to take the tube but for some reason, could not locate the tube station. I had been walking for about 15 minutes. I remembered seeing streetcars so I decided I would board one of them. Why didn’t I want to walk home? It was for 30 minutes! The week before, those 30 minutes seemed significant as I walked back home. I had picked up a bug and ended up sick in bed for 2 days. On this night, I had exceeded my shift by thirty minutes. The days got darker quickly so I was not going to beat myself up about leaving later than usual.

So Thankful That Habits Can Be Changed
I am feeling particularly thankful right now. For the past few weeks, I have met people who are intentional about the lifestyle they have adopted. This is great considering I do not always dot my Is and cross my Ts. Today I get it right and tomorrow I fall somewhat short.

Was This a Personality Mismatch or Something Much Darker?-Part 2
“Where are you? You are running late. You said you’ll be here 2 hours ago.” “Amy, I am not too far away, there is so much traffic. I have to admit, I didn’t leave early enough.” “Okay, I’ll wait for you in the lobby. My luggage is in the luggage room.” A few minutes later, I met up with Amy. We loaded her luggage into the car and drove to her new rental. It was a 25 minutes drive and on the other side of town.
