Matching Costumes
You don't have to give up on Halloween just because you've hit 25 and don't have kids to use as a convenient excuse. If you have pets, you can dress them up for a party or just for the heck of it. Go Trick-or-Treating under the guise of taking them for a walk, or just to see the reactions from people who are still fooling themselves that costumes are for kids.

Moderation: A Thankless Task
We all love social media in it's various forms. It's the opportunity to connect with people we may never meet face-to-face, the chance to talk regardless of distance, and a way to socialise and debate and enthuse over common interests. The Great Facebook Crash of October 2021 wouldn't have been such a big deal otherwise. It can also be a bit of a mess; everyone knows that. Miscommunication, confusing similar groups with different rules... the potential for misunderstandings and taking offense is limitless.

Percy Weasley: Undercover
Read Part 1: Autistic!Percy Read Part 2: The Rift Read the fanfiction that started it all I should preface this by saying that the following is purely headcanon, as Percy Weasley is an interesting and well-developed character, and thus not to be elaborated on in any meaningful* way in Rowling's interviews.

A Playlist to DIE For...
Playlists can be tricky things, and there is no one-size-fits-all. Sure, there are some staples, like Nutbush at an Australian Wedding, or Whitney Houston's "I Wanna Dance With Somebody" (or desperately trying to hide under the nearest table when Macarena starts playing and Great-Uncle Bob gets that gleam in his eye...). Overall, however, a party playlist should be tailored to the occasion, and Halloween parties are no exception.

Something Missing
Unlike many of my fellow Vocal writers, I didn't know Tom Bradbury well. I read his works, and we often interacted in the comments section of various Vocal-based Facebook groups. Tom always had something positive to say about things, whether that was praise for another writer's story, or just a kind remark to someone who was having a bad day.

Changeling Child - Part 3
Prologue Part 1 Part 2 By the time Mary was considered Out to Society, music had become an exercise in frustration. The Warrior of the Fair Folk, whom she still saw but rarely and always at random, had been correct on the subject of excellence. Proficency required passion. On the Pianoforte, Mary found herself much in demand to play reels and jigs, where she could envision revels on summer nights, dancing under a winter moon, parties that lasted a hundred years and yet no time at all.
