N. Bradton - pen name - is an English teacher. Prefer to write longer YA lit, but also enjoy writing short memoir pieces.
Current large project is a YA series based on Asian mythology and history. Started 2019, hope to publish soon!

Why can't it be both?
"Teachers are in it for the outcome, not the income," someone in the club remarked. My education honor society in college, Kappa Delta Pi, was trying to develop a shirt design. This seemed to be the winner. It was a quote loved by the group of soon-to-be-educators. The goal was to raise money for school supplies to donate to a local classroom.

The Origin of the Yellow Emperor (Excerpt from "Immortal")
... Huangdi was actually among the five ruling dragons. Five dragons served as guardians of our world: the black dragon of the north, the white dragon of the west, the red dragon of the south, the azure dragon in the east, and the yellow dragon served in the center. The yellow dragon would travel between heaven and his fellow dragon brethren to report life on Earth back to the gods.

“You wouldn’t understand,” The parent of one of my students tells me over the phone. I called her to let her know that her son was currently failing my class as he has not turned in an assignment all quarter and was absent more times than present.
